Me & my family stated in a room, where when we went to put on the heat the smoje dector went off. And the room got a bad carbon monoxide smell. Reported immediately to front desk. All I got was its normal. I had a 3 and 6 yr old in the room as well. We had to open door and leave it open for a while the smell was so bad

The outdoor areas and stairways, were very poor in appearance. Laundry equipment in an outdoor hall?
Breakfast was a grab and go, very poor.
Parking areas good and well lit.

As in other Days Inns I've stayed at I always remark at the choice of colors for decor which is usually "earth tones".. my favorite.. Staff was friendly, informative, and wiling to 'lend a hand' with personal info about the area.. helpful to me as a "newbie". Although I usually take advantage of microwave to save on eating out expenses this trip I made a few exceptions on dining out so the room was strictly for refreshment and reference before seeing other sites there and in nearby Charleston.

. Breakfast was a joke, stale cereal
Weak coffee, no place to sit, had to grab and run. Door in office led to closed restaurant was locked , but advertised as open 24hr on website.

Room was gross; bathroom faucets leaked; room décor was dated; metal plates screwed into wall to cover holes.
