What People are saying

Not Clean

K7456USdaviddon 10/11/2017 00:07

The room was in bad shape (fixtures, walls, door). I had to request a set of clean sheets for one of the beds.

A clean, budget room in a run-down motel

BDG206on 09/11/2017 03:34

The driveway to the motel is full of potholes and then you pass a brigade of service trucks and equipment giving it the feel of an industrial area. They must be renting to a work crew with heavy equipment.
Check-in was easy ad the front desk guy was very nice and efficient.
The room was clean except for the shower curtain that had mold on it. Sheets on the bed were clean and the beds were comfortable.
The TV did not work well and had a lot of "snow." The remote needed batteries and hardly worked. Breakfast was very simple and crammed into a tiny space where we could barely maneuver. For $56 it was a fair value but the outside of the place needs paint and is an eyesore.

Splurge on a BETTER HOTEL

pretblueyeon 04/11/2017 18:39

Staunton Va is a halfway point from my home to Pigeon Forge,TN ans so we decided to stay over night at a Days Inn, which we had booked a head of time. Even though I had read reviews on it I still didnt think it was that bad. We also had plans to go to Lewisburg,WVA and White Sulphur Springs,WVA so this particular Days Inn seem to be a good choice. Some may find this place good if they have pets and that's OK, but if you value and like your car, try somewhere else.

We arrived at the hotel and the the drive up to it, to say the least you have to pick and choose on which side to drive as the road is filled with unlevel road and potholes. Wish I had taken pictures of that.

As we approached the hotel I noticed some construction vehicles in the lot, no big deal. At the front desk I asked for a room on the first floor and was told that the rooms were taken by the construction workers. My room was on the second floor, I asked if the had an elevator and was told "NO", the hotel is 40 years old what did I want.

Umm..excuse me??? First, off I would like a room on the first floor and my partner here is handicapped and yes he does carry a card and yes we do have a plaque for the car. The response I got was: well, did you request it? Well maybe I shud have, but I'm here now letting you know that someone is handicapped and a room is required.

The response was: Well, I'll give you the last room but next time, request a handicap room. There won't be a net time, Thank you!

This is no way to speak to a guest, nor treat someone who has a handicap.

Now, let's see, the fitness room and the business center are in the same room. So much for privacy. And the room itself is smaller then the room we stayed in.

As for being 40 years old, the hotel definitely showed this on the outside as it definitely needs a MAKEOVER! PAINT JOB! REPAIR JOB!

As for the rooms themselves, not many TV channels, although I did manage to find one that had Law n Order.

Sleeping, it was mediocre but too low to the floor.

Breakfast, go else where-the coffee in itself was so bad I couldn't even get pass the first sip without making a face!

Throw back to the 60's

J4582QMjameshon 01/11/2017 18:45

Overall appearance is very tired and neglected. Trucks and service veh. everwhere, T.V. with cable was snow and worse than anything in the 60's. Bare basic room with 1960 tile shower with the usual soiled grout. Lighting was poor in stairwells. Not worth the cost of the room what-so-ever.

Staunton Stay

Michael Aon 31/10/2017 16:52

I stayed in the location for a night, I am not upset about staying in a smoking room when I know I do not smoke. I was just more surprised with how old and dingy the room felt compared to other budget places I have stayed.
