So let me cut to the chase. The Dazzler has a nice location a block away from the corner of 21 de Setiembre and Ellauri, an epicenter of the Pocitos neighborhood where you find bus and taxi stops, banks, eateries, a movie theater and even a McDonalds. The hotel is clean enough, with an OK breakfast buffet, good free wifi and a great shower head. The service is spotty. A couple of the young people in the reception desk were friendly and helpful, but some were not. It may not have been their fault as this seems like a very busy place with constant traffic. When I checked in they sent me to a room that was already occupied and there's no excuse for that. I was attending a reunion in Carrasco, but chose the Dazzler because it was close to some other stuff I needed to do. Again, to sum up, I loved its location, wifi and showerhead, Service was spotty. Breakfast buffet was OK (could have been better without egg shells in the scrambled eggs).

We had an amazing time during our stay at Dazzler Montevideo, I went with my family for a city break, we stay over for the weekend and we loved the hotel and the members of staff, very comfy beds, nice shower, and fantastic view of the river and the city.

Seems to be the main hotel for ships leaving so gets very busy 're check in (Hurtigruten & G adventures use it)
Pricey paid £100 for 1 night. Mini bar extortionate,$6 for small bottle water.
Large attractive simple room. Tv with international channels. Side tables. Large windows. Comfy beds. Drains smell in bathroom. Good strong shower. Small amount toiletries. Good sized towels.
Average buffet breakfast. Cold meat & cheese. Small bread & pastries. Limited fruit. Various yogurts. Hot drinks, coffee, hot water, hot milk.
Large wardrobe. No drawers. Personal safe. Coffee making machine but no coffee & didn't work for heating water.
Couple of charging points plus standing lamp points.
Gym & spa. Pool but was being refurbished.
Lifts as 12 floors. No obvious stair options.

Really nice and spacious hotel with modern interior. The staff were really friendly and the jacuzzi was nice. The rooms were quite big - we had a disabled room for some reason so our bathroom was enormous. The shower was one of the best I’ve ever had. Definitely recommend!

The hotel staff were very unhelpful when I went to ask about the rooms for my disabled mother. When we arrived, the rooms were missing a lot of things and the TV didn't work. Staff didn't seem to be competent and we definitely won't be going back.
