Myself and my husband spent two wonderful nights in a fabulous large modern room with a lovely verandah. The staff could not have been more attentive and the food was amazing. With beautiful surroundings packed with colourful flowers and trees and a pool for cooling down in when it gets too warm you couldn't wish for more.

We stayed there 2 nights in a self-catering unit. The rooms and houses are beautiful. It is in the middle of a citrus plantation next to a river. Beautiful nature around. Way to Addo Town is not far. And they organized the whole safari for us!! Perfect.

We were a little late for booking a B&B room so took a self-catering chalet which cost a little more than intended. Nonetheless we couldn't fault the accommodation, food, service or location. The chef is called "Wonder", - and he is just that. The best food experienced over a 30 day trip. Book for a minimum of 2 nights and take advantage of a tour of Addo.

If you want to do a safari in Addo Park but don't want to spend too much for a lodge inside the park, you must go to the Old Drift! It's a beautiful place, with the most comfortable and modern rooms, great cuisine and very very close to the Addo Park. They organize game drives with the guide Lindo, a very nice local lady who knows all about the park and the animals. The manager Lisa is also lovely and always ensures the guests are happy. You should also book a game drive in a private reserve - Schotia, which is 45 min away from the Old Drift. If I had to come back, I would never hesitate to stay there again!

Lovely peaceful place to stay, well worth the effort to get there along un metalled roads. Welcome come not have been better. Fantastic room with own balcony and lovely gardens. Fabulous view. Great meal, very personalised - ate with hosts.
