Wonderful Hotel, Great Staff!

I loved this hotel. Subtle luxury in the middle of the Amazon. What they describe is exactly what you get. You will not find better accommodations, food or service in this region. Some of the reviews are extremely unfair and I honestly don't understand what some people expect in the middle of the rain forest. Food is great quality, 2 meals included and you can order a la carte for a very reasonable prices. Wi Fi service is not bad for the region, but honestly if you need to be on your phone or computer constantly I don't understand why you would travel to a place like the Amazon. The charm and beauty lies in the idea of being part of nature and disconnecting. If you don't plan to do this I recommend something more basic like South Beach. I've traveled to a lot of hotels and the rooms and patio are of high standard. Go see the monkeys and swim in the Amazon when the river is flooded. I had a magical time and you will too.
Perfect

This wonderful gem in the Amazon really made my trip. Charming staff and delicious fresh food and juices, with its heart-shaped pool and tropical gardens, I really felt sooooo incredibly relaxed and happy. Travelling solo I needed the perfect escape from city life and I loved every bit about the Decameron Decalodge Ticuna – Leticia. I organized private excursions so I could explore different parts with just a guide and skipper including Peruvian tributaries. It blew my mind. Jungle treks, bird watching, swimming in the Amazon and fishing for piranha was simply awesome yet exhausting, so at the end of a long day it was sheer bliss to return to my wonderfully spacious air-conditioned room to read or just zzzz in the hammock in the veranda.
TIPS
Learn some basic Spanish; it helps. Or, if you’re thick like me and can’t string a single Spanish sentence together, use sign language; the staff are extremely patient and keen to help in any way they can.
Breakfast starts 7am when everyone logs-in to the internet. Rise at 5am and you’ll find their wifi is as good as the one you have at home.
Espectacular experience

Overall Decameron Decalogue Leticia is a very well kept resort; small and subtle but just enough for the ocasión- it counts with a very relaxing and quiet ambiance. The room was spotless clean and so spacious.. the front porch with hammock was a plus. The pool was always open and mosquito free... on 5 days we came back home with zero mosquito bites. Happy hour was a plus and all restaurant and bar staff were outstanding.
The hotel offers plenty of tours... I can honestly say, best prices and quality around.
The only downside to this hotel, as it is a Decameron, is that alcoholic beverages are not included - the hotel is semi inclusive - however your two meal options are great with variety of daily options.
Please don't let the semi inclusive clause discourage you from booking! It's honestly the nicest hotel in town.
Great place for a short trip

The place is currently undergoing some work, mainly roofing for some of the cabanas but not really noticeable or inconvenient for their guests. We were greeted by "Kapax of the Amazon", a legend in the country of Colombia and ambassador for the Amazon around the world.
Our room was generous, with a very comfortable air conditioner that helped with the intense humidity and heat from the area, particularly after spending the time hiking/trekking through the jungle. The town and the hotel are very safe!. The food was acceptable and I was reassured that all juices were made with bottle water (nobody in my party got food poisoning or ill during the trip... a big plus).
The hotel staff was great! All of them but particularly their receptionist Ana.
We went along in 3 of the excursions, all arranged at the hotel through their our agency and staff (I did not want to take any chances with outside agencies but they abound in the area). The guides were knowledgeable and funny. The night hike was fun as we saw many tarantulas in their natural environment, many insects and some reptiles (only one quick snake). I would strongly advise you to take your own flashlight in the trip as theirs are overall not that powerful. Make sure you have plenty of DEET repellent on, treat your clothes if possible and consider wearing a hat with a mosquito net to really enjoy the trip. They will outfit you with rubber boots, a rain poncho and a bottle of water (they will do that for all their excursion which makes packing for the trip easier). It was short and anybody in good general health can do it.
Our favorite trip was to Puerto Narino with the highlight being the stop at "Isla de Los Micos". A great place for pictures and to learn about the species. During the same excursion, we were able to see a few gray and pink dolphins, but only quick sightings (I guess that is normal in their natural environment), many birds, fish, natives and their products, and obviously plants!.
I stayed only for 3 nights and 4 days and that is probably enough for most people who are not willing to rough it up in the real jungle camping, hunting and doing real trekking!
Excellent service

The hotel offers great service, restaurant employees will tend to your every need, the rooms are well equipped: ac, fans, safe, and the pool is very nice and has very good schedules. You can arrange your tours right in the hotel.
