Derra was originally conceived as a captive location for the outbound training needs of its mentor organisation, Search Consultants-HRD, an ISO 9001:2008 entity with over two decades of experience in outbound training. Leadership camps at Derra are conducted by a coveted faculty from the upper echelons of the defence establishments, adventure sports, environmental and behavioural sciences.However, as the camp started taking shape, a need was felt to increase the scope of Derra and extend it to other organisations and educational institutions as a venue for their training programmes. Derras ambit expanded further when it was felt that the location served as an ideal getaway for leisure travellers, a venue for recreational activities or even a bistro for highway commuters. So, while Derra caters to different needs, the fundamental idea of learning and reflecting amidst nature underpins it.
