Well organzied camp, where you do not miss anything. If you really need a swimming pool, please don't book a hotel in the desert!
The tents/apartments have more than you really need in the desert and there is some privacy as they are not too close to each other. Very nice bbq dinner with descrete music. We liked our stay and next time we will extend it to spend more time here.

We went to this place for a night and have n experience in the desert not extreme... it was fantastic: service / location/ stuff/ rooms... the stuff friendly and ready to help and assistance , the room clean tastefully done and kept, the restaurant really good ( i do have allergies , i advised them in advance and took care of myself for the whole period ).

Sensational location, creating a real desert experience. Lovely 'tents' which are simply but well equipped. Service was excellent all round.
Some of of the activities were expensive we thought.
The food, however, was excellent.
Great place to stay for a very small stay. We were there for two nights, which was about perfect.

We only stayed for one night and like most of the reviews this is probably enough. It was a long hot,boring drive in from Muscat and I was a bit concerned we’d made a mistake.
We found the ‘tents’ better than basic and the interiors were very fresh and attractive.
Service was lovely and the food superb.
We did the standard activities which were fun and also the sunrise camel ride. The trip was worth it for this alone, just to see my husband on the back of a camel!! Hilarious! Does no one else find it terrifying?!
The desert was beautiful and peaceful and refreshingly cool at night. Peace rather spoilt by a huge convoy of omanis from Muscat coming by at 1 am with music pounding. It sounded as if a helicopter was landing!
Stopped at wadi bani khalidon the way back. Hmmm ok but it was a Friday so heaving by 10am. Probably wouldn’t make a special trip. Didn’t bother with Bedouin house as already shopped in a souk in Muscat and done enough of these trips to suspect it wasn’t worth it.
All in all it was worth it, although expensive, especially if you’re staying in Muscat for a week and need a break from the pool/beach.

I had asked the tour to upgrade us from the nearby Oryx camp to make this a special night on our short for, it was a good decision! We didn't have time to use the adrenaline junkie activities that they offer but watching the sun set from the top of a nearby dune was one of the highlights of our tour. The early morning camel ride which is also offered is equivalent to a donkey ride in Prestatyn! The food was a cut above everything else we ate on the tour - perhaps enhanced by our choice from an OK wine list.
As every where in Oman staff were exceedingly friendly and helpful.
