We had a very pleasant three day stay and the hotel staff could not have been nicer. We were quite early in the season (beginning of October), so perhaps we should not have been surprised to be the only hotel guests - but we certainly got lots of attention! The hotel is out in the countryside without obvious places to go on foot. We had an exciting and bumpy trip by jeep visiting several eco-tourist sites including walks in the jungle and a visit to an elephant training centre (which was eye-opening). The swimming pool was very pleasant and there was a serious looking ayurvedic spa (which we did not use). The WiFi was very intermittent.

Me with my family stayed for two nights. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Since there are not many guests morning breakfast is not buffet but order individual and takes 20 -30 min for getting delivered. WiFi connection is poor which frequently gets disconnected. Remaining all facilities are good,

We picked this hotel for the convenience of visiting the Elephant training center which was a short 5-minute drive away. While that was expected, what came as a pleasant surprise was the ability to experience the tremendous history of the area related to St. Thomas and Malayatoor as well as getting to see traditional Kerala village life which is increasingly disappearing.
I also need to highlight the hospitality of the staff who were amazing! We were a large family and the staff were extremely helpful in accommodating our room requests as well as helping us get settled in / plan our day. The restaurant had a number of traditional Kerala dishes which are not easily available in cities and the staff helped us pick some noteworthy signature dishes.
In summary, while Kodanad is a potential day trip from Kochi, Hotel Dewland provides a high-quality, comfortable base that allows you to do justice to exploring a beautiful, traditional and historic part of Kerala.

This hotel is fantastically good.
We had an excellent stay there. Cochi was our first destination of our honeymoon trip and at dewland it started in an luxurious manner. Staffs are so caring. Thank you all

After a hectic week, Hotel Dewland provided the perfect getaway during my stay in Cochin. The hotel is located within scenic natural beauty with views that are amazing. The rooms are very spacious and clean. The bed is big and soft too. The hotel staff were very courteous and polite and were always ready to facilitate all our requests. I am sure that I will keep going back to the hotel, whenever I am back in Cochin.
