This place was like B and B's were 20 years ago and needs an update.
Room was basic and the home made bedside tables did not set a good impression, first night the dressing gown was missing, a must on a room with a shared bathroom and there was nowhere to hang a wet towel.
The hostess was friendly however I feel this place needs a cash injection to update to modern standards.

The property is ideally situated to visit a number of attractions. It is excellent value for money, clean and the proprietor was very hospitable. We felt at home straight away. We occupied the ground floor on suite double room with breakfast. The full English breakfast I had was excellent, my wife had the scrambled egg with smoked salmon which was equally superb. Other breakfast meals could also be had. You would be hard pushed to find better value for money.

Free Internet, free parking and less than 10 minutes walk distance into town.Also 5 minutes to the train station and less than 2 minutes to the park.Diana Lodge offers a clean fresh room and nice breakfast.There is a lot to love about Diana Lodge bed & breakfast, and I will definitely be returning.

stayed for one night on way home up north. First impression was not good. The reception was a trip hazard and our room on the ground floor had trailing wires also. I dont like watered down handwash, there really is no reason to do that. Also the toilet wasnt very clean. However the bed was comfy and Diana was lovely. The breakfast was nice. wouldnt stay there again and would definitely not have paid more than i did.

The room was comfortable and clean and the town is with in walking distance. The owner of the b&b was very polite,friendly and helpful and there is off road parking and we will definitely be staying there again from Mr & Mrs Evans
