What People are saying
Great Value and Outstanding Service

Cannot say enough good things about this facility. First, traveling with a pet. "Pet Friendly" rooms generally less than great. This room too was very nice... not great, but truly comfortable. The room was clean, though the tub/shower could use some updating. I did notice new tubs outside the building, I presume waiting to be installed.. I believe the owners are indeed doing a lot to maintain the facility. This is probably the largest Days Inn I've seen. I highly recommend this facility if you are looking for a very very nice room at a very reasonable rate! A great value for the price!
But here's the best part. I received a phone call @ 1:20am! Why is that great? Because I had inadvertently left the sunroof open on my vehicle and it was starting to rain. Now, understand this is a very large facility and nearly full the night of my stay. The front desk person took the time and effort to go through all the reservations to find out who owned the Red Rav4 ... and alert me to the situation. Outstanding. BUT WAIT ... THERE'S MORE! At 1:20am, I was a little groggy ... and because I was afraid I may lose a ring that was a little loose on my finger, I decided to take it off before going to the car and closing the window. The next morning, of course, I couldn't find the ring! We looked all over that room to no avail. I then assumed I had placed it in my clothing bag, and it slipped down out of view. However, I later discovered it wasn't there. So, I called the hotel and to my joyful pleasure learned the cleaning staff had found the ring and turned it into the front desk ... who is mailing me the ring as I write this review. In summary, we were greeted and checked in by a very pleasant lady, alerted to a potential damaging problem with the open window in the car by a very dedicated evening/night desk person, and greatly relieved to learn of the recovery of, and mailing of a lost personal item by the morning staff!. Again, can't begin to say too many good things about this Days Inn. I will go out of my way to stay there again if traveling anywhere within practical distance!

Hotel was great. We did get to see multiple fist fights in the parking lot. Not the hotels fault though just drunk kids. I would stay there again.
Good Andersonville and Jimmy Carter weekend

We needed a place to stay to visit the Andersonville civil war site and attend Jimmy Carter's Sunday service in Plains, GA. Americus was about halfway from both.
Usually, we stay at the very nice Best Western Windsor property, but our current budget dictated something a little less expensive. And this Days Inn was a very nice budget alternative. The Days Inn was clean, nicely-remodeled and featured a laminate floor (which is better for allergies.) The room included a small fridge and microwave.
Across the parking lot was a comfortable Ruby Tuesdays, which had a good salad bar and served very well for dinner.
We had a very enlightening visit to the Andersonville civil war site, which is an easy drive about 20 minutes away. And the staff at the Days Inn are very knowledgeable about local tourist information, especially the Jimmy Carter church in Plains where he does Sunday lessons. They also served a very decent hot breakfast at 5:30 am so that you can make it to the church by 6ish to maximize your chances of getting a seat near the President.
So, if you are looking for a budget option in Americus for the local tourist sites, this Days Inn is certainly a good choice.
Time in Americus

Our stay in Days Inn in Americus was great. The staff were friendly and very gracious. Bobby Kay welcomed me with a big smile. The only comment I have about the stay was the breakfast was not very good. Of the 4 days there we ate breakfast only 1 time. No biscuits at all, gravy was limited and the eggs were not tasty at all. We had to go to breakfast elsewhere if we wanted anything except toast & coffee. or waffles.
Great overnight stay without breaking the bank

Love staying here when I'm staying in town. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. A free breakfast is a plus since most in town don't. They have microwaves and fridges even when using a discount! No downsize room either. These are things done at other hotels I've stayed at around town
