What People are saying

Ultimate Disneyland Vacation Destination

Rachel C on 17/11/2017 21:52

There are a lot of places to stay around the Disneyland Resort area, especially the hotels/motels that are along Harbor Drive, Katella Ave, and the surrounding Anaheim area. The Disneyland Hotel is the ultimate place to stay for nostalgia, magic, and memories.

The Disneyland Hotel stands out from the rest of the lodging options offered in the local area, as quietness, cleanliness, and hotel amenities are among the reasons to stay here. It's one of the few hotels that truly have a luxury hotel feel offered throughout the room and the facilities.

Don't forget about the coveted early magic hour that's offered in both parks exclusively for those who are staying in either Disneyland Hotel, Paradise Pier, or the Grand Californian.

Although very pricey to stay here, there are ways to lower the price, including use of a military discount, AAA card, booking through a travel agency, or simply making a reservation directly through the hotel and specifically requesting a room with a cheaper view (Note: All rooms are the same unless you request two queen or one king, or you are reserving the exclusive Disneyland Suite themed rooms on the top floor.).

Room was clean, spacious, and roomy. We had a corner room which was neat for the extra view from another angle but I wish the window was a little bigger. Otherwise the pool view was okay.

Check out the free tour of the hotel, which offers history of the hotel property/lands Walt Disney acquired.

Pool was great to visit when the parks are crowded, take advantage of the heat too.

Parking is $20/day, unless you want to valet for $30/day.

Security for the theme parks has changed locations. The prior location was the immediate entrance into the parks. Security is now located near the entrance to Downtown Disney, which will effect those entering from Paradise Pier/Disneyland Hotel. Other security area that is new is security just outside of parking from the Disneyland Garage. Security is still the same when entering from Harbor Drive.

Worth the money.

The Disneyland Hotel is finished with all the refurbishments. It is a wonderful place to stay if you're going to the resort. You are on Disneyland property right next to Downtown Disney. The rooms are large comfortable and magical. The concierge floor is worth the extra money and I would encourage you to book your room on one of these floors especially if you have children with you the room has special touches like a magical headboard that plays a dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes Atwal the headboards light up a castle fireworks and stars. The concierge floor has a large area that you just use your room key to enter it's called I believe the e-ticket Club you can relax there have wonderful nipples. As a matter of fact you can have a decent breakfast there's a variety of foods all day and pretty much all night offered at the e-ticket Club so whatever time of day it will the appropriate food will be there. You may think this isn't a big selling point but when you are very tired or you need a break or your adults traveling without children this is the perfect take a break Lounge. The swimming pool area is fun and Disney tropical. The pool has a monorail slide. Trader Sam's is there for pub food And libations.

The hotel consists of different aTowers. The fantasy Tower the adventure Tower the Pioneer Tower and I'm probably missing one. When you get to the Disneyland Hotel registration and anything else that isn't a lounge or a guest room goes through the fantasy Tower. They have gift shops they have the business center they have registration they have the Bell service. But it's not like we're taking you across the block I stayed in the adventure Tower and it was just around the corner from the fantasy Tower that it was like going around the pool.

The service at the Disneyland Hotel cannot be beaten. Whatever you need they will work with you to see that you get it. They want your trip to be well magical. That's their whole thing is what can we do for you? One of my nights there I was very tired and not up for staying outside and trying to see the fireworks. But my concierge room faced Downtown Disney and Disneyland and I watch the entire display from my hotel room. When you book ask about this feature. If you have children now you have a place to take a cranky child and let them nap for an hour without going too far the hotel is right there and it would take you minutes to get back into the park. Worth the money.

Great Hotel for Visiting Disneyland

Kate G on 16/11/2017 19:50

I stayed at the Disneyland Hotel for four nights in November for the (last) Disneyland Super Hero's Half Marathon Weekend. This is a great hotel to stay at if you are participating in Disneyland races (which are currently on hiatus) as the start line and finish line are basically outside your door. It's also a great hotel also if you are visiting the parks as it took me 10 minutes to get to my room after exiting Disneyland. (Note: they haven't begun construction on the new hotel so I cannot comment how that will affect a visit to this resort in the near future).

I had a king bed room in the Adventure Tower on the sixth floor. The view was great. The room had a decent sized bathroom (considering the age of the hotel) and a mini fridge which I used to store the water I purchased from Amazon Prime Now. I've stayed at the Disneyland Hotel before in a room with two queens, and I can say that the king room is smaller, however given there was only one bed (and I was a solo traveler), it didn't seem cramped and I didn't have any complaints.

Housekeeping came every day with no issues and left my room clean. I had bathrobes but no turn down service was provided. The hallways and lobbies were clean and well maintained.

I ate at the quick service restaurant twice and had two decent meals there given the price paid. I did not go to any of the sit down restaurants but have heard good things. The line for Trader Sams was out the door during the weekend but seemed manageable on the weekdays.

My only complaint is the lobby of this hotel. There are three different buildings and each building has a small lobby and the Fantasy Tower has a larger lobby with the check in area and stores. However, the main lobby isn't 'grand' or someplace I would want to spend my time. I actually spent some time in the Grand Californian's lobby and had a lovely time listening to the music and having some drinks (they have servers who come around). While the Grand Californian was about 200 more a night (about 800 for the trip which is why I chose to stay at the Disneyland Hotel instead), the Disneyland Hotel isn't cheap by any means, which is why I would have enjoyed a more grandiose lobby. (Note: WDW Deluxe properties often have nice lobbies - not just the Grand Floridian and even the Hilton Anaheim has a nice lobby). This however wouldn't prevent me from staying here on a return visit to the Disneyland Resort, especially if the Grand Cali was 200 more a night.

With the Disneyland races on hiatus due to the upcoming construction, I don't see myself returning to Disneyland in the near future (especially coming from the East Coast), but I am glad I had this trip in this hotel as a memory to cherish for the future.

When entering the lobby you are greeted by 6 foot statue of Goofy, and that represents your stay.

This is a place for families with a dozen rug rats. Unfortunately I had to stay here for business meetings. The restaurant has 6 tables and very limited menu, the bar has 5 barstools and closes at 10. You are a 2 block walk to get out of this Disneyhell. This is a perfect place to stay if you are taking your kids to the Magic Kingdom. This is a business traveler's nightmare.

Stayed just one night

travelalot184 on 15/11/2017 12:57

Stayed in this hotel for one night 5 November 2017. The room was very nice looking but aside the 3 Disney things in the room I would never guessed it was a Disney hotel it was clean, Pool area was very nice heated water and plenty of places to sit. The hot tub was nice after a long day. The staff was great checking in and out no problems. We paid for the club level which means food drinks and etc through out the day. The breakfast was good lots of stuff. However after the morning stuff was taken away the rest of the afternoon and evening food was not. we went several times thinking it would get better it was not they had to small desert trays that went so fast by the time we were able to get to the plates that meant there was never any food. A few time nothing at all was out 1/2 into the open time for deserts and meal times. Drinks were good just no food. I took pictures but am not going to post. The hotel was great just the club level not so much. The staff at the club level desk was very rude and no help at all ever. We are Disney everything we go to the parks a lot even DVC members as well. The parking in the hotel is also not free as it is in the Disneyworld parks in FL. I would stay here again just I will not pay for club level.
