Paradise Pier kinda has a bad reputation as being the adopted Disney child. Not enough Disney or decor. I disagree. We are here during the holidays and the tree in the lobby is gorgeous! The room was spotless and has Disney touches everywhere. Our room has two queens and a sofa daybed and would comfortably sleep 5. The hotel is older but clean and well maintained. I stayed at the Disneyland Hotel a few weeks ago and I have enjoyed this just as much. My kids like the beach theme in the room. The walking distance is only slightly longer than the Disneyland Hotel. Great stay!

The Disney Paradise Pier is a nice hotel. The staff at the front desk was very friendly and made check-in easy. We requested a handicap accessible room and were not disappointed. The room is large enough to maneuver an electric scooter. The beds were comfortable and rooms were clean. You can request a room overlooking California Adventure and watch the World of Color.
The down side to staying at the Paradise Pier is the long walk to Disneyland, it takes about 15 minutes through Downtown Disney. The price of a room here is high but it is a Disney property so you expect it. I would definitely recommend staying here at least once.

The room was clean and comfortable, great location for getting to the park and downtown Disneyland.
Negatives, the dinner buffet we had was soo over priced and not the best but all the staff we met were all lovely. My boyfriend could not get onto the WiFi, with a Samsung, no matter what we did, worked fine on my iPhone though.

I am in a motorized scoot and we had a child in stroller, asked for convenient hotel, was dealing with Disney not a travel agent. Paradise was suggested, bigger rooms etc. It was a pain to get an adjoining room as I had requested in June it took an argument. The rooms are MOTEL rooms not 500 a night rooms, bathrooms small, cant even crack a window a few inches to get fresh air and no fan in bathrooms so stuffy, I have asthma and it was hard to breath. Room service breakfast, they say its 18, then it comes and for two should be 36 right? Nope its 50 minus tip with all the fees they put on. They are not clear when you check in that the early park alternates, we tried to go one morning and they said it was the other park, no one told us we missed out on that.. got stuck in one of the elevators. We were there 4 nights 5 days and complained 7 times that we could not get to the ice on our room floor and nothing was done. when I am paying 500 a night I expect sheets and towels changed, nope gotta ask for that come on this is a glorified motel Walking distance to monorail is hard on most of the group not to mention just the walk to the park and , I was told it was just outside. And they have stopped allowing Paradise pier patron to cut through the Disney grand, if its all Disney why!?????? Very disappointed will not go back .

The only reason to stay here is because it is a Disney property hotel and it's very close to the parks. Otherwise the rooms are fair and the price is expensive. I compare this hotel to some of the hotel establishments on Harbor Drive.
Staff are friendly, gift shop is nice, and the walk from the hotel to the park is about ten minutes, as you have to go through Downtown Disney. You will still need to pay about $20/day for parking, and $30 if you valet.
You used to be able to take a short cut through the Grand Californian if you were heading to the theme parks, but unfortunately due to new security you will be directed to walk through Downtown Disney.
If you are going to spend this amount of money, consider one of the nicer hotels on Harbor Drive that offers nicer accommodations, shorter walk, and more amenities, as Paradise Pier is limited.
