Charming architecture, good food and a full service hotel & spa await you at Dona Urraca. If you really want to splurge, I recommend the Presidential Suite. I've had a number of spa treatments and have given gift certificates for a full spa day as gifts.
I highly recommend this lovely place.

A quick summary of our visit here: spa day for me and two of my friends. We met in Queretaro for a weekend and he hadnt seen each other in years so I decided to treat them with a massage, body exfoliation and express facial. I WISH I HADN'T.
Staff was courteous and did their job very well.
We arrived at the spa at the time we were supposed to. Our therapists were still not ready since they were finishing up with another person, which was no biggie. They sat us in the waiting room and gave us bottles of water. of HOT water. There was not cool water anywhere in this place. Usually it is customary to offer your clients water before and after a massage , since it is recommended to stay hydrated. We were then led to the back locker rooms. The area was tiny but worked. We had lockers with keys which was nice.
Then we were taken to our individual cubicles for our massages. These cubicles were literally that and had plastic doors and dividers. Nothing fancy about them but nothing too bad either. Except you could hear the kids playing outside the WHOLE time we were getting a massage. The spa does not have AC, so the only think avaiable is opening the top window and I believe there was a fan. Everytime the wind would blow, it would rattle the cubicle and startle us.
Once we were done, we were lead to the showers to rinse off. The showers were dirty, with used soaps and plastic wrappers and hair on the floor. My friend and myself had been given faux sandals to use. However, our third friend received only a pair of slippers. When she asked the staff if she could have sandals, they came back and told her they ran out of them and gave her an extra pair of slipper and asked her to shower in slippers! She said it was the most uncomfortable feeling and honestly it was very unprofessional.
Overall, this has been one of the WORST spa experiences of my life. I honestly felt embarassed to take my friends here. We expected top of the line service since we were paying top of the line prices. However, we received much less than what we paid for. It is hard to believe that this is one of the "best" spas in Queretaro and it is even harder to believe that this spa is part of such a beautiful hotel. Seriously, the grounds are breathtaking, so I have no idea how the spa and hotel go hand in hand.
Bottom line: won't recommend, won't go back.

Absolutely gorgeous hotel!! So beautiful so affordable and insanely good location too close to historic downtown super safe. This place has great food great service great pool and favs I mentioned it's soo gorgeous?!?

We had our wedding in Queretaro in January. We wanted a nice hotel in a great location and couldn't have asked for a better experience! All of the rooms at Dona Urraca are beautifully decorated and huge. The amenities are wonderful and the pool is heated! All of our guests raved about the hotel and it is just steps away from all the main sites in the city center. The only complaint we have is we wish the booking process would have been easier for the blocked rooms. We can't wait to go back one day on our anniversary!

We travelled Queretaro for my daughter's wedding. The entire wedding party and their families stayed at the Dona Urraca. It is a beautiful, quiet hotel with incredible accommodations, gracious staff and delicious food.
