The only mistake we made was that we forgot that on Mondays in France all local restaurants are closed. That meant a drive for dinner.
That said, this was a great little hotel. It is well off the beaten track, despite being this close to the major ports. The rooms were delightful. The breakfast generous.
The staff were very welcoming but spoke only French.

On arrival we were directed up a ver steep and we considered staircase. No help was offered with our luggage. Very comfortable room but dinner and check out left a lot to be desired. Our main course was served before the first! We had to wait 1 hour 45 mins for the main course. On check out we were charged a la carte prices but they were eventually changed to the 30 euro menu which we had ordered. On check in we were told 40 euros had been charged to our card but this was denied on check out but eventually agreed they had taken the money. The wine was excellent and served by a charming gentleman but we thought 15 euros for 2 very small kirs excessive.

We absolutely loved our stay there and will go back there soon. The owners, a nice couple could not do enough to make us feel welcomed. The food is delicious, the wines are to die for (they personally go and meet the wine producers all over France before choosing and buying the wines). They are passionate about what they do and it is noticeable. Only 20 minutes drive from the shuttle, it is the ideal stop before going back to the UK. Also, the region is very pretty if you can avoid Calais!

We booked to stay here as a first stop on our holiday and were very pleased both with the accommodation-nice view over the gardens- and the food. So much so that we changed our return plans to stay here again. The owners are helpful and welcoming the room comfortable and clean and the breakfast buffet particularly good. It should particularly be noted that having an early Tunnel crossing on our last day the owners specifically opened the breakfast room early for us which was much appreciated. Def a favourate for future stops

Had a little overnight here on the way back from the south of France so we were fresh the next morning. To be honest I wasn't expecting much but was taken by surprise by the friendly staff, the lovely room and the excellent restaurant. The food was sublime and the wine list varied. We will definitely stay again when you n the area.
