Whitby is beautiful and the dolphin is in a perfect spot . Accomadation is lovely ..pub dies get quite busy but not a noise issue . Do have to pay for parking you can come and go as you please and the food is very nice . Breakfast is above average with lots. Of choice and arrives very quickly

We stayed 2 nights here my husband myself and our dog,and the room was very good, very large ,wonderful views over the Esk and Whitby ,and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were lovely and friendly and breakfast was good .

This hotel was in a good location the only good experience was our breakfast so as a result we won't be returning. Also having to check in at the bar when it's rammed with drunks is a no no for us. Also our room was dirty.

Unless you’re a group of middle age bauld headed blokes on a stag do or a girls equivalent give it a wide birth. The foods not good, it’s just ‘ok’ for a drink. The thing is though there are so many other places in Whitby that do it better it’s just that this place is right next to the bridge and so gets the footfall. Avoid is my advice. It has a large chain boozer feel to it when to be honest I for one want small, individual and carefully thought out. Not posh..... just not insulting my intelligence for the £4 or so they’ll take off me for a pint! 100 yards up the rd in either direction you’ll find what I’m talking about. Good luck

We went there for drinks and snacks last month and we really enjoyed the ambience and the view over the water. The staff were quite pleasant and the food portions were very generous and, also, very reasonably priced. The bar area was clean and roomy and the washrooms were well kept and maintained. I have no hesitation in recommending it to others.
