I made my reservation for this hotel since October 2012, because I know how busy Cali is in December because of the Feria. My family and I arrived on December 23rd at 8:30 p.m. We had four small children who had been traveling for more than 12 hours, so they were very tired. The family rooms looked nice BUT THE AIR CONDITIONING WAS NOT WORKING. I talked to the receptionist (she was the only person available) about this issued and regardless of how much I asked her to provide a solution she did NOTHING. She didn't even try to call the administrator!! She just kept saying she was only a receptionist and she couldn't do anything about it. She wouldn't call the administrator because she knew the administrator would not answer the call!!!! So we have to open the windows and sleep in a very hot city (about 85 F) without air conditioning or even a fan. Needless to say, how noise the street was. The next morning the administrator came and she looked a little upset because I have complained about the a/c. She said it was nothing wrong with the a/c BUT she went and got a remote control from other room and it got the a/c working in one of our rooms. Then she said the a/c was working it was the remote. I could not believe her attitude. My answer was "I don't live here, i don't know this hotel how was I supposed to know this? Nobody even came to the room to show us the room like in any other good hotel "
As this point we asked about their cancellation policy, then her attitude changed. Anyway that day (Dec 24th) they fixed the a/c. On Dec 30th the a/c broke again, another night without a/c. I reported to the administrator on the morning of the 31st BUT SHE FORGOT to call the technician!!! I'm glad there was another receptionist and she let me have a small room to sleep there. It was not the best solution but I thought for one night it was fine. Well, I had to sleep there for the last 3 nights AS THEY NEVER FIXED THE A/C.
My recommendation is that If you want to have a nice place to stay in Cali this is not it. For the price I'm sure you can get something better.
