Fabulous, well situated boutique hotel
Edward_Archeron 14/11/2017 17:00Absolutely gorgeous boutique hotel in an ideal location for visiting Segovia. Renovated 7 years ago, the hotel has been beautifully decorated and still looks new. Our room in the roof was very comfortable, had its own small terrace, and offered an amazing view across the valley. Good choice of self-serve breakfast with high quality produce. Useful to have parking in the hotel's garage. We stayed four nights and would highly recommend it.

Very friendly staff, I got a room with a view of the castle.
The castle and the plaza mayor are only a few minutes walk away from the hotel.
The room is quite nice, with a mini bar and a coffee machine. Nice and clean.
I paid 55 for one night and consider this excellent value, 13 for the parking.
My only niggle is the breakfast, it's not great, some bread but mostly white. And cheese and ham, some warm bacon and scrambled eggs. But I'll confess I'm spoiled from hotel breakfasts in Scandinavia, which are much more sumptuous.

It can put a lot of 5 star hotels to shame on its hospitality, cleanliness, resolving issues and recommending places to eat. Location is superb with a view of the Alcazar which is a 5min walk as is the Cathedral.
A perfect stay.

bridget ton 21/10/2017 11:56Great location, between the cathedral and the Alcazar. Well equipped and spotlessly clean rooms. Friendly staff and reasonably priced. Probably not ideal if you come by car as it is right in the old part of the city. Lovely little walled garden/terrace. If you come by train be prepared for the fact that the station is miles outside the city centre.

JeremyNicoleon 17/10/2017 16:09This was my second stay in Don Felipe, having been here in Oct 2016 with a friend on a motorbike trip, and then with my wife in July 2017. For me it was better than the Infanta Isabella (albeit that was very pleasant), and it had the edge on Condes de Castilla where I have just stayed (I'm writing this review in Oct 2017).
The Don Felipe has great views over the plains / looking back to the mountains. I'd highly recommend the Garden view rooms at the back. The hotel has a great terraced garden and they serve a fantastic Gin and Tonic. The car park is under the garden, with a lift directly to the floors with the rooms - great for ease of unpacking (motorbike gear in our case).
Very stylish. Great spot.
