My wife and I recently returned to Puglia, and Monopoli specifically, as we really enjoyed our trip from 2016. This will be a much more brief review but just as enthusiastic! We returned to Monopoli for its charm and accessibility. But frankly our memories of Don Ferrante was such that we had to return. This year my wife opted for the room with the seaside view. OK-this particular room was just a tad tight in space, but for us, the view more than made up for it. The room nonetheless is clean, immaculately appointed with a general bathroom with a large shower. Imagine brushing your teeth with the Adriatic as your mirror! The staff, from Valentina at the front office, to the staff at the terrace lounge to the dining room attendants were all top notch! It continues to be one of our most favorite hotels in the world. If your travels take you to Puglia, make it a point to visit Monopoli and stay at this wonderful spot on the Adriatic. Happy travels!

On the top of the world, lovely views of the turquoise sea and the horizon. Great service at the restaurant and a very knowledgeable waiter. Thank you. Delicious food. When you travel on your own, then you really experience what the place is like and whether people care about you or not. I felt very comfortable.

Incredible place to stay in the historic center of Monopoli on the Adriatic. Comfortable, luxurious, and a good value. The hotel staff are fantastic and go above and beyond. They even arranged to have someone drive our car outside of the historic center for us as we were leaving since the tiny, ancient, twisting cobblestone streets can be a challenge to navigate.

What an amazing hotel. I was fortunate enough to spend my 40th birthday here, earlier in the week. The only regret that I have is that we didn't stay longer! The rooms were just beautiful - the attention to detail was outstanding. The staff were polite and eager to help in any way they could. The birthday bottle of wine waiting for us when we got back to our room on the day itself was the icing on the cake! I can't recommend this hotel enough.

I was slightly concerned about what our stay at Don Farrante after reading some of the less than great reviews on trip advisor; in the end I had nothing to be concerned about our stay was near perfect! The property itself has been exquisitely restored, maintaining the original charm with updated luxurious comforts. We did stay in the Don Ferrante suite which perfectly accommodated 3 people with plenty of room and a fabulous balcony almost directly over the sea. The breakfast was fantastic with the freshest local products and delicious freshly baked breads and cakes, with the friendliest most helpful breakfast attendant imaginable. I would first recommend the town of Monopoly to visit or stay to anyone visiting Pulgia; it was the most charming town we visited during our entire visit to the region. Secondly I would most highly recommend the Don Ferrante Hotel for your lodging. It is in the historic part of Monopoly where cars are not allowed, this means a little walking is required during your stay. You can drop off your bags directly in front of the hotel then they park your car in a near by area. They would have retrieved your car every time you needed it but we enjoyed the 5 minute walk to our car along the sea. Overall we loved the place and hope to return someday!
