There is no doubt about the fact that, the resort is beautiful, we were greeted with smile and all our queries answered at reception, the service at this resort was pathetic! We were there in goa to celebrate our 1st anniversary and for a meeting at the same time. We had to call thrice in a span of 6 hours to the housekeeping to get our room cleaned finally! It seemed the resort was foreigner centered, as whenever we went to the restaurant we had to remind the waiters to serve us a glass of water repeatedly, on the other hand, we observed that foreigners didnt have to do so.
Plus point, good location in south goa, just adjacent to the beach. 3 star only for the beauty of the resort. 0 star for the service ( really disappointed )!

My sister and her husband had their destination wedding at Dona Sylvia last year. The resort is beautiful, clean and has a great breakfast buffet. The personnel is very helpful and polite. Would definitely recommend this resort!

A truly beautiful resort with very friendly and helpful staff. 5 mins walk to the beach area which you can enter straight through the hotel rear entrance. A very peaceful and calm hotel with an amazing pool which is not very crowded and always has a free sunbed. The hotel restaurant has a wide range of food for every hungry soul, must I mention one of the Top Chef's Afsar who will absolutely look after you and make you feel welcome the minute you enter. Afsar prepared an amazing fish platter for me and my partner on our anniversary night and it was very delicious with tasty flavours. The luxury Bungalow rooms are very clean well maintained, 2 bottles of Fresh water every morning, Laundry services within the hotel if needed, perfect air conditioning and fan also, good TV channels showing very recent films and a few selected English channels for a cosy night in and very comfortable beds and furniture. Highly recommended if you're looking for a peaceful and relaxing holiday with minutes walk to the beach beach with warm waters. 5+ stars.

My husband and I stayed at Dona Sylvia from 6 November till 10 November along with our 2 young kids.
Words cannot express how happy we were to have decided to stay there. On the second day of our stay, our 1 year old daughter fell sick (a parents worst nightmare on a vacation). The staff were all so helpful and kind ensuring that my partner and I were still able to get some rest.
Thank you Steffi, Vailan, Ashra, Ajay and all the other staff at Sea Gull restaurant for taking our kids and spending some time with them in turns. This gave my partner and me sometime to quickly have our meals.
Thank you Afsar ( the chef) for cooking meals for our baby and sending coconut water for her to help her recover quickly.
Thank you to the house keeping staff who cleant our room, our room was a complete mess and smelly but you guys did such a beautiful job of cleaning it everytime.
Thank you Mitesh (the duty manager) who arranged for a doc and transport in the middle of the night.
Thank you for not just meeting our expectations but for exceeding it, your ever smiling caring faces and understanding our unstated needs.
To the management of Dona Sylvia you are lucky to have so many good employees in your organisation please take good care of them.

This hotel seems to cater more for Indian weddings and conferences than their european guests, we stayed on an all inclusive basis but ate out most of the time, we have been to goad 4 times and usually enjoy the local food but what was on offer here was so hot and spicy it was just not edible, but as most days there was either a wedding, an indian birthday party or conference and they had our money the management didnt seem to care, also on the odd occasion we did use them the service at the bars or restaurants was a joke, we had to constantly look for cutlery, cups plates etc. We paid for all inclusive but service was so bad it put the cost of our holiday up quite a lot eating out. The other thing was the "entertainment" one word DIRE!!! We would not recommend this hotel in anyway, STAY AWAY.
