Made the mistake of getting a room on first floor on the other side of conference center, very long walk and not luggage friendly. Gorgeous hotel, great service, but long walk. Would stay again, just different room.

I like DoubleTree Hotels in general but this one was a bit disappointing. The room rate was good for this area but there is definitely a need for improvement. The early evening check-in was cold and unfriendly. Simple questions about local restaurants and my room location (1115) were treated brusquely and I gave up asking the front desk staff for anything during my stay. The guest rooms are located a very long way from the check-in area and with poor help on where to park or room location, I was pretty upset by the time I finally found my room.
The guest room was comfortable but nothing special. The Hilton quality bed makes for a very good sleep but the room location was not great. I had to manage stairs and a circuitous route with heavy luggage.
This hotel clearly caters to business meetings. They have a lot of very nice meeting rooms and in the area of Boston they are located, this is probably a priority for them. The guest rooms are located beyond the meeting rooms which makes for the long walk back to civilization.
The one area I have to give this DoubleTree high marks is in their restaurant. I normally do not eat a lot of meals in hotels but this restaurant is worth checking out. They are trending toward a Mediterranean cuisine and I was impressed by every meal. The reuben sandwich for lunch is as good as New York City deli's. The salads, fish and chips and brick chicken are all very good. Prices are reasonable. Carlos serving for breakfast and lunch is a superstar and Cecelia at dinner is also superb. Too bad these two weren't overseeing the front desk staff, they have exceptional guest service nailed down.
I may try this hotel again, but it will be for the restaurant and staff more than for the rest of the hotel. Stay on upper floors to avoid the elevator down and then stairs up to the first floor. It sounds confusing why there are stairs up to the first floor, but trust me.

I have stayed at the Bedford Glen double tree 8 times in the past 2 years for a meeting. Wonderful staff. Great fitness room. Good food. Very comfortable accommodations. Peaceful and quiet. Would highly recommend The hotel is very accessible to the airport, shopping including Wegman's and Trader Joes

Lots of older hotels in this area. This is the 3rd one tried this year. Easy to get to from highway. Hotel is more like a conference center. Typical 80's facility that has been renovated in last 10 years. Nice fitness center and pool. Room service was scary fast which added a star to my rating.

We held our 50th reunion and everything worked out well!
I stayed 2 nights and it was good!! Of course since it was Bedford High School, the fact that they have a fabulous copy of the Bedford Flag (the oldest flag in United States) made the setting wonderful!
