Great hotel

Excellent rooms, fitness center, staff, and location! There are a number of hotels in the area, but I would definitely consider the doubletree for a business stay. Clean, updated, and spacious rooms with hardwood floors. No gross carpet here!
STAY AWAY: Old rooms with bugs, rude shuttle driver

Called the day earlier to schedule a shuttle, but was not scheduled and had to wait 40 minutes when I arrived. Bus driver was rude and unprofessional, giving us attitude, throwing our bags in the trunk, slamming the car door at us, and using his phone while on the freeway. Room is old, unkept, with bugs and unfinished flooring.
GREAT LOCATION

Stayed here for a 2 day shopping trip and location was great. Staff was super nice and always pleasant. Rooms were great with no carpet, which was great, beds were super comfortable. Bathroom a little small and dated
Great staff

The hotel staff is very friendly. They were very accommodating. I travel for business very often and every time I am in town I stay here. I have also told my co workers about my experience staying here and now they too stay here every time they are in town.
Yin-n-Yang

I began contemplating this review about 15 minutes after walking in the door to our room. Quite frankly, it's been weighing on me. The primary reason is, Jill and I take these reviews seriously. After all, the basis of this community is trust. So why the apprehension? The pensive approach?
Well, borrowing from Einstein; for every action there is a reaction (or something like that).
The entrance/lobby area is alive with conversation, traffic, and overall good vibes. It's also progressively appointed. There is a smaller scale open-seating restaurant with bar attached, yet on the opposite side there is a small 'deli' style counter with seating as well. Interesting.
There are several comfy chairs available in the lobby for gatherings, yet the actual rooms are but ~40' away.
The employees are all very friendly, welcoming and communicative, yet once you walk down the hall into the facilities, you don't see anyone. We're talking 'ghost town.'
The rooms are very clean and look quite appealing, yet once you take a closer look you find two different furniture designs offered, one far more up-to-date than the other.
The white walls and hard wood floors really allow the space to shine and open, yet the reality is, the confines are on the tighter side.
The bathroom/shower are separate affording more space, yet there is not enough space for two adults to operate independent of each other.
The shower setup itself is modern (very good water pressure, btw), yet there is black electrical tape binding a top bar.
Further still, the shower stall is spacious, yet stepping out finds you battling with the walls.
A cordless phone makes for great flexibility (yes, I know, who actually needs one these days), yet it doesn't work. At all. As in, it's dead.
Lastly, the minI-fridge is a great offering, yet controlling the cold setting is virtually impossible.
Ah, but the beds! They are very large and sleep even larger. And the pillows, all four of them, quite comfortable. And for us, THAT was the most important feature! We slept GREAT!
Different things matter to different people. The purpose isn't to slam this facility. Frankly, most of what's listed didn't bother us in the least (staying in room 101 I'm sure would have!). We believe you should simply be aware.
And yes, we would definitely stay here again. Just loved the lobby!
