I stayed at this hotel five nights for a business conference. My flight was several hours late but the hotel driver and bellman were there waiting for me when I arrived. I was impressed!
Check-in was ok. However, I was not placed on the Hilton Honors floor, nor was I given a complimentary upgrade which is the standard I am accustomed to at Hilton Hotels. My room was, nonetheless, very beautiful and spacious and I had views of the city. The shower is large and there is also a garden tub. The king-sized bed was very comfortable and the tv had a variety of English-language channels which was a pleasant surprise. Nearly all of the hotel staff speak excellent English which embarrassed me because I know little Chinese.
The banquet staff that serviced our meeting rooms were very accomodating and went above and beyond. The area the hotel is located in is very nice and many parks and shops are within walking distance. The hotel has several restaurants that offer a variety of Chinese and western style meals.
Overall, it was a great trip. I would've given five-stars if the front desk agent had been more accomodating of my Hilton Honors status.

Upon arriving in my room, I was greeted with welcome note written by Adam from Guest Relations. It made me feel special and very welcomed. Not even the Waldorf or the 4-Seasons has ever done that for me. He even decorated my bed with my towel, I felt like I was on a cruise ship. This shows that Adam is very dedicated to his job, and works it with a real passion for guest services. He walks that extra mile to create something special and memorable, and in the world of hospitality where dozens of new hotels are opening every year, this is that leading edge which customers look forward to. A real personal touch created by someone with passion for his job. Well done, Adam. Well done, Double Tree.

We stayed here for 2 nights but had 4 rooms.. As we came post midnight courteously all were upgraded to a suite as we enjoy highest tier of honors membership. Staff at front desk was friendly and could understand English well. However the hotel totally goofed up on food service at lobby restro. We were in holy week for Hindus where we don't consume any Meat, chicken fish etc even after telling 10 times to server in English and Chinese both my colleagues were given a non vegetarian food saying that it's pure vegetarian food. The apology nail came after we left but that ruined our stay. No one had courtesy to say sorry during our stay. Not sure how they are international chain when the staff doesn't understand language well or understand other cultures

The hotel it self is very good, but from the checking in to the checking out at Lounge reception you will decide not to come again. Booked 11 nights for 2 rooms, Untrained staff at lounge like Carrie and Bonnie, will disappoint you from the beginning. Unacknowledged of honor benefits, liers, rude and unprofessional to be in this place. Despite of checking on line by Hilton's app, they changed my rooms and separated the two rooms I booked. Checkout was another issue, added extra cost to my bell and long time to print my final invoice, actually they couldn't print it until Jenny Li came and after 30 minutes she solved the problem and sent my invoice to my room.
Throughout the 11 nights, the water fridge was broken, as they told me, no one came to fix it for 11 nights !!!
Concierge was great, Berry is the best, you can ask him for any place in Guangzhou and he will guide you with a lovely smile.
Easy to catch taxi.
Beds are comfy and linen were excellent, Open restaurant with super staff like Sara, Joudie and Tamara, plus delicious food, will full your day with energy.
The hotel offer free shuttle to Canton Fair daily. Many shops and restaurants srounded the hotel. For guests who are looking for nice views, this is not what you are looking for, no special views, only buildings and streets.
Staying again?? for me No. I prefer to find another hotel according to this experience.

We stayed at Double tree by Hilton for 5 nights in may 2017.
This hotel has a great location right in he middle of the city. Places like Beijing lu and Yuexiu park are just 10 min walking.
The breakfast is very nice and the chefs and the staff are very accommodating . They even made special pure veg food for us in the breakfast.
Would definitely recommend to all.
