On arrival the reception was welcoming however on entering the lifts onto the 2nd floor to our room the carpets where stained with shoe black marks and white acid stains which shouldn’t be there and it gives such a bad impression. The room was clean and tidy but very bare and not so welcoming, the curtains where very stained and worn out. But the most disappointing is the breakfast we had eggs Benedict the sliced bread was burnt and the taste was so stale and the eggs where not as soft as it should be. The best time was had is in the electric bar where the cocktails were very good. So on the whole there is so much potential for this hotel to step up and be a little gem for Lincoln.

Comfortable base to walk around lovely Lincoln.
If you cant manage the very steep walk to the Castle and Cathedral there is a shuttle bus up and down.
Hotel, clean comfortable and breakfast very nice.
Staff friendly, Electric bar very lively, cocktails good.

I do stay at this hotel often, the main reason I return is because the staff are excellent. Special praise for Louise, Andy, Kathryn and Lara on reception, and Dawn and Vanessa at breakfast. The only thing that lets the hotel down is the total lack of recognition for Hilton Honours members. It must be the only Hilton hotel that doesn't offer a complimentary drink on arrival for Diamond members. They have also stopped the small bottle of wine in your room as well. I recently booked using my HH points and it must be the first time I wasn't offered an upgrade. It's a shame as the frontline staff really do make an effort - it would appear however that the senior management don't recognise loyalty.

Brilliant location with awesome waterfront view from the out door heated terrace Good priced cocktails with a wide choice.
Restaurant next door and easy access via the lift at the front of the hotel......................................,,,

This is our 2nd stay at this hotel and have already booked again in Dec, the hotel is lovely situated on the wharf and a 5 min walk into Lincoln City Centre, the hotel is very Clean and staff very friendly, i would recommend this Hotel to anyone
