My partner and I went to Taiwan at the beginning of the month and stayed one night San Francisco. We got there after a long flight and was greeted with a smile, we asked for a room with a view of the bay/airport runway. We signed up to their hilton honours programme and had an amazing room with great service from the receptionist. (Sorry i didn’t get her name)! Breakfast was okay for hotel breakfasts.
I have to say though that the bed was so good, you just melted into it and we had a great night sleep!
Thanks Double tree Hilton we will be back next time were on a layover!

After waiting 30+ minutes for the hotel van at the airport, it then had to make multiple stops and go to other hotels before going to doubletree. The driver merely opened the van door. Didn't help with luggage getting on or off. I stay in hotels on average 10 nights a month and never had this kind of experience. There were 7 people on the van all complaining about the rudeness of the van driver. Upon check in, there was no hello and friendly greeting. Simply a "Name?" From the hotel desk person. After filing out the papers, my key was placed on the counter and the desk person turned his back to start fiddling with papers. Literally the worst customer service I have seen out of any hotel I've stayed at!

My husband and I only spent the night before an early morning flight, but it is a delightful hotel. The staff was professional and friendly Everyone one we encountered at the hotel was just impressive. We ate at the bar and the food was great(it was a soup and salad) but obviously home made and high quality ingredients. I would love the opportunity to stay at this hotel again.

Oracle World in progress meant inflated hotel rates in San Francisco and this was the only “reasonably” priced option, although still over $275 a night. It’s a short drive from the airport and I took a cab instead of the shuttle. Check-in was efficient, although they refused to take my Hilton loyalty card cause I had booked via booking.com.
The initial room assignment was right next to the ice machine and had a continuous, low but noticeable rumble. I asked for a different room and was assigned one right away, which was further from the ice machine and thus quieter. The front desk staff are well aware of this issue.
The room was a good size, and this is a positive over its SF counterparts which tend to be matchbox sized. The view of the water was pleasant. The bed was comfortable as well and I enjoyed a good night’s sleep. The bathroom is generously sized as well.
A few problems with the room that should be quickly sorted...the air conditioner is not in optimal working order. It was either too cold or else the room was too hot when it switched off. Secondly, the window didn’t seal properly, which made for a slightly annoying experience...cause I was on a low floor at the front of the hotel and could hear all the going-ons below. Not a dealbreaker but needs to be fixed. From what I recall, there wasn’t a safe in the room either...but cant be sure now.
Our team had breakfast in the morning as well, and it was decent...although a bit run of the mill. I would have liked a few additional hot options, other than the dried out scrambled eggs. The server was extremely nice though.
The doormen are probably the worst thing about the place...they wouldn’t help with moving bags at all, and this was two separate people on different days. This despite a fairly generous tip handed to them for storing the bags over the day.
One strange issue, my AT&T phone refused to work at all while I was in my room...maybe that was a dark spot. It worked fine, as soon as I walked out of the building. WiFi was meh at best.
Overall, it is a serviceable option, if you are limited by price or have business in Millbrae/Burlingame. Although I imagine some of the other hotels in the same area are better at a similar price range.
A renovation would do this hotel a world of good.

We just stayed one night to get the next morning flight to Europe, we was on the way home from Honeymoon.
They did prepare strawberries covered with chocolate and a Champagne 🥂 Complementary in our room.
We did get more there than in other hotels where we stayed much longer.
Good Job guys 😎
