Convenient location. Staff were friendly, professional and accommodating. Room was clean and comfortable. Original room had a noisy air conditioner. Asked to get another room. Staff immediately gave us another room which was nicer then the original.

My family and I stayed 4 nights at the DoubleTree by Hilton. The front desk was friendly and helpful. Our room was running late for cleaning but the staff quickly found us another room so we could check in on time. The valet is fast and friendly. The room was a suite and it was clean. There is some wear on the living room furniture and various walls. The locations is nice as can walk to many restaurants. I gave it 4 stars due to lacking amenities such as coffee/water in lobby or it would be nice to add a coffee shop on site and some of the wear on the room.

The location is great. Situated in Downtown Silver Springs and walking distance to the Metro, theaters and shopping. The hotel shuttle will drive you within three miles of the hotel. The restaurants in the area are expensive.

Bar is dirty, expensive and serving bad food. Roms are too old and filthy. Carpet is as old as rooms and filthy. Bathrooms may be older than rooms (are at least 60 year old). Check in/out desk is undermanned. Hilton should close down this one and rebuild it.

Two years ago I rated this hotel a 4 star, but it has gone downhill.
Pros:
1. Cookies at the front desk
2. Staff is friendly and helpful
3. Short walk to metro
Cons:
1. Rooms need to be updated baby. One of my outlets did not have a cover.
2. Ice machine on two different floors was out of order.
3. Vending machine was out of order.
4. No hot tub.
