The best hotel in Dover
JoshDadon 21/11/2017 05:43We spent 1 night to attend a business meeting. The hotel upgraded our entire team to their Spa Suites on the 2nd floor. It is quite a long walk that involves passing through unmarked doors. The rooms were enormous suites with thoughtful luxury amenities.
Checkin was a breeze but without proper directions I had to return back. I will let the pictures of the room speak for themselves. It was a shame that we spent only 1 night here.
My room had a massage chair. One of my colleagues got a room with a pool table (I got a picture!)
First Time Staying and I will DEFINITELY be back!
Tracey Son 21/11/2017 00:51My husband took me to the Dover Downs Hotel & Casino for my birthday this past weekend and I had a blast! My sister-in-law and brother met us down there and this is was the place to be for fun. First I didn't know there were so many different eateries in this hotel. If you don't want to eat at the expensive buffet, I would suggest eating at one of the other restaurants that are much, much cheaper than the buffet. The Italian restaurant had entrees from $8 and up and the sports bar's entrees started about the same, where the buffet was $28.95 and had lots of seafood option, but if you are allergic to seafood, like my husband, you may want to eat elsewhere. I'm not saying the food in the buffet was not good, but I find that most people only eat one plate of food and you can get a less expensive plate in one of the other restaurants. And you could get a drink with dinner in the other restaurants and still spend less than you would in the buffet.
The rooms are very elegant. We actually walked into the room and it felt like I was walking into a mansion's foyer. The marble feel of the floor as we walked down a short hallway into a large room with sitting area, to me, felt grand. The room was clean and the bed was super comfortable.Our room looked over the race track which will be a great place to watch NASCAR the next time it comes to Dover Downs.
Although I didn't win much, I had a great stay hanging out with awesome people. I recommend this hotel for weekend get-away's for any couple.

agordon58on 20/11/2017 20:34Best visit/stay at Dover Downs Hotel & Casino ever! More “hits” on the slots than the Beatles! The Staff are family to me! They always give their all to ensure a wonderful memory. I love bring my entire family. I wish I never had to leave. 😁
Uncomfortable Beds
mac4747on 20/11/2017 20:07The mattresses on our beds were very uncomfortable. We were up half the night trying to get comfortable, but it was impossible. The casino is okay nothing special. Payouts are few and far between, but we did manage to break even for the night.
I was supposed to receive free-play with the online room offer I purchased, but no one at the hotel seemed to know anything about it. They kept directing me back and forth from the check-in desk to the players club desk, but staff at neither were familiar with the offer, which seemed odd. If a hotel is going to put a special offer online, they damn well ought to educate their staff about it!

gregorysV4770OJon 19/11/2017 17:44Dover Downs is a wonderful smoke-free casino that has a wide variety of gaming options. The on-site restaurants are very good. The staff is helpful and friendly, We feel safe and secure there; security is highly visible but in a good way.
