A few days away

I came to this site as a base to look for somewhere to live near Okehampton and stayed for three nights. Originally I only booked for one night but after explaining I needed two more on the next morning I was booked in. Nothing seems to much trouble for the campers here, the shop stocks basic supplies but stocks the stuff you need, the facilities are clean, there's Wifi if you want to hang around by the laundry and the staff are friendly and welcoming. I don't know what else to say really except if I needed to somewhere to stay in/ around Lydford, I'd come back.
Beautiful Farm house

Stayed here overnight after booking just that afternoon. Found it easily, and the owners were very friendly and accommodating. Had a brilliant breakfast and some good conversation, locals always know the best places to go! The farm itself is beautiful, the rooms are elegant and offer you the full experience of being in a old manor farm, with the sloping beams and 'bend your head' doorways. One of the best B&B's I've been to and wish I could come back!
Very friendly staff, Made to feel like i was at home

I booked really late at the hotel, so late it was past the shut of point but upon arrival i was still greeted and accommodated. I was even offered a sandwich although it was fairly late and all the guests in bed. I choose the farm to have a different experience then Premier Inn.
I did feel like i had to tiptoe around not to wake up other guests but this is just all part of the experience and what would be expected (I'm just used to Premier Inn)
The farm itself was lovely and the rooms nice. More importantly the bed was really comfortable!
It is a WORKING farm but the owners are more then happy to show you around from what i saw. I didn't get a chance to say thank you, so - THANKS!
Great visit, friendly

Downtown farm was in a lovely location and nice B&B with the added bonus of animal attractions on site!
The rules around taking your shoes (commented on in other reviews) when you go into the B&B seem entirely appropriate for me as though the yard is clean, it is a farm with animals which I wouldn't want on my carpet at home to be fair!
Fab place to getaway too

What a lovley welcome we had from Ellie,on arrival. We were delighted with our big en-suite bedroom, so clean and airy. Breakfast was made special with the farms own sausages and free range eggs and honey.Being able to walk around the farm and spend time with the animals was great. The whole experience was relaxing and thanks to Ellie giving helpful suggestions with what too visit and where to eat, we had a great time.We will be back.
