Very clean,quiet,best breakfast we've ever had in a 3* ,perfect location,great helpful staff,had a twin room at the rear ,spotless,great shower,Aircon ,and decent hairdryer,returning in November,thank you

Overall a positive experience. Staff at reception friendly. The room had quite a nice view of the Marsalforn valley with sea in the distance. At the side you can also see the Cittadella. Room spacious, the bed is large but the mattress wasn't that comfy. Good shower and hairdryer. There was also a sofa bed. TV only had local stations. Tea/coffee facilities + a mini bar. The room had a/c which due to nice breeze we didn't use. Small safe in the wardrobe. Decent breakfast though the bacon was over cooked. Good location.

Very friendly very clean well appointed budget hotel a stones throw from Victoria.
The staff were all very polite and friendly and spoke good English .I stayed bed and breakfast ( which was perfectly adequate ) for less than € 60 per night and in the room I had aircon balcony and TV with numerous English channels .
Can`t fault it for the money .

My 4th visit in 5 years - perfect location for easy access to Victoria/Rabat - 10 mins from the main square. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast perfect considering its included in the standard room rate. Comfortable room - very clean. Air con very effective too. Nothing negative....

I spent two nights at the Downtown, as part of an independent tour around Malta and Gozo. Despite its name, the Downtown Hotel isn't really "downtown", as it is away from Victoria's small CBD. There is a walk of about 10 to 12 minutes to the Castillo, and about 2 minutes less to the central square or the bus station, from which you can catch a bus to anywhere on Gozo. The hotel is quite new, and from the rear ("country view" rooms, which I recommend) there is an attractive outlook extending several miles down to the sea; rooms are quite big, very clean and quiet, and have tea and coffee making facilities and a minibar. The airconditioning works well, as does the wifi. Breakfast is included in the tariff and while it is fairly basic, it is good taking into account that accommodation in the hotel is very reasonably priced. There are two lifts serving the three levels of rooms and the rooftop pool. Recommended if you are staying in Victoria.
