No complaints on my stay at this hotel. When I checked in the woman at the desk gave me a map and a brief overview of areas to visit. I research a lot before trips but the info she gave me was very valuable. The beds are comfy and rooms are clean. I had a room that faced the street and seemed as though the windows were a bit thin (road noise) but it wasn’t a bother because it’s not a busy street. There is a fee for breakfast which I didn’t experience or there are a couple great cafes for a quick coffee and a bite to eat (wooden whisk especially). Great location about a 15 minute walk to temple bar. Most main sights are less than 20 minute walk from here. You can catch a taxi to the airport (more if you don’t book through the hotel) for 22 € Or take the airlink to or from for 6€ each way ( get off on O’Connell street) then walk 2 min to hotel.

Exactly what we were looking for

My rating is my personal opinion. We were looking for a decent hotel where location was more important than the room itself (who goes on holiday to sit in the room?) and we couldn’t have asked for any better location wise! Our room was facing out to Talbot street which meant there was noise, but nothing we didn’t sleep through. The room was small, but fine for what we used it for, and very clean. The only down points would be the shower power was pretty weak, and also our duvet cover has some stains on. I can’t leave a review on the breakfast as I didn’t eat here.

Centrally Located, Affordable, Clean

Sarahwhitewolf on 10/11/2017 21:00

I absolutely loved my stay at Dublin Central Inn.

The hotel is in a great location close to the tram line for the city, restaurants, and attractions.

The clerk at the front desk had my room ready early which was nice, and it included 2 comfortable twin beds, and lots of amenities and a large bathroom. Very simple, clean, and quiet. I had no issues with noise while I was staying here and the front staff was very kind. They helped me with directions around the city as well as with cab service.

The hotel has a lift if you need one, and also came with free wifi. I would recommend this for a traveler that wants an affordable and clean room and isn't expecting a 5 star ritz hotel. I will definitely stay here again when I return to Dublin.

Nice and central, friendly, clean but dated

Great location, you’re just a few minutes from O’Connell Street and can get to Temple a bar in just a ten minute walk.
Can’t fault the staff, all very friendly and helpful.
Rooms are small and basic and a bit dated with the decor - could do with a lick of paint to freshen it up - but they are clean.
If you want a centrally located base with a clean bed and bathroom to come back to then this is the place.

Poor service

on 30/10/2017 16:13

Wouldn’t recommend. Showers were cold, none of the plug sockets worked in our room and one of the lights kept flickering. Went downstairs to reception to ask to move rooms and the staff member (I think he was a manager) moaned at us that we hadn’t realised sooner as he would have to send housekeeping in again. He then moved us to another room and gave us the key cards which didn’t work and then didn’t believe us that they didn’t work until I asked him to try it for himself. Our bedding was also stained. Poor customer service at an expensive price however other staff members were friendly and helpful. Rooms are fairly small but that was expected for central Dublin and not really an issue.
