Strange check in where we were asked for passports... we are uk nationals and travelled by train from Cambridgeshire. They weren't to happy about that but needless to say allowed us to stay. The room is tiny. Bed and small cabinet with kettle on. No chairs to sit on. Bed against wall and window overlooking the over ground train line, so very noisy. Bedding was clean. Bathroom was a good size but poorly fitted out. Shower was either scalding or off.
Positives.... location.
We would not stay here again.

If a mattress like concrete, a shower with two settings (scalding hot or ice cold) and a truly claustrophobic room is what you're after, look no further.
The previous reviews speak for themselves.
Despite this, the location to the underground and surrounding areas was great. The staff were friendly and polite, too.

Stayed here at the end of April 17. Worst hotel I have ever stayed in, bugs in bed, window could not close as it was warped, huge gap at top, mouse trap under the bed and no fire escape. We removed four bugs from the bed when we returned after midnight and reception was closed. Complained in the morning and were given another room down the old iron steps outside, but it was clean and bug free. Complained to Booking.com also and it was agreed that we would get a refund for the first night, well surprise surprise, still no refund even though I have emailed both the hotel and Booking.com almost every day. They then said they did a refund and sent me a copy of the refund receipt but refunded to the wrong account. NEVER again.

After the first night I left. First of all I can not live with the mouses (we are in 21 Century). It was in the room, at he reception MOUSE TRAP. The small is horrible, no clean, the carpet full of Shiite. The furniture broken, old and so used. mucus on the wall, believe this HOTEL SHOULD NOT FUNCTION IT SHOULD BE CLOSED!!!!! Hey Authority from London, with this kind of hotel, we, the tourists, are in real danger, to go home with diseases. they don t have AIR CONDITIONING, I could not sleep because was so warm, am with the window open it was to much noise.
SO DON"T MAKE THE MISTAKE TO BOOK THIS HOTEL IT WILL BROKE YOUR VACATION FOR SURE>

2 positives staff friendly and location negatives if you get room 101 refuse it as no space to swing a cat trains every 5 minutes and to top that they started rail replacement work and the windows do not shut out the noise. No air con so hottest weekend of the year had to have window open. Pillows what pillows better off bringing ur own unless you enjoy resting ur head on the mattress.
