My wife and I were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary so decided to go “ all out “so we planned to stay in The Royal Suite. At first glance it is spectacular but when the plumbing doesn’t work properly, you get trapped in the malfunctioning shower, the steam room just doesn’t work, the second bathroom is out of commission... you wonder about how royal this suite really is. There was never an offer to reduce our rate because of these deficiencies.
We were informed that we could bring our own liquor so we’re quite surprised when a corkage fee was on our final bill.... we basically poured our own wine.
The staff were all very friendly and the food was fantastic but when we reflect on our stay last June 2017 we both think that although it was relaxing, it was very overpriced

The location, the hospitality, the atmosphere: perfect! Far away from all tourist crowds in BC a very personal and warm welcome. The hosts are caring, interested in the guests. A very nice atmosphere during the breakfasts and dinners with the small group of guests. Very good food, nice horseback rides and hikes. For us a good and cosy start location for 2 weeks in BC and Alberta. Although not so easy to reach, the EVRanch is worth the ‚detour‘.

We got married at echo valley and they couldn’t of been more accommodating and welcoming ! We had a wonderful wedding! Norm and Nan and all the echo valley staff were wonderful . We all enjoyed ourselves as well as has got much needed relaxation.

My partner and I spent two wonderful days at the Echo Valley Ranch and it was the best weekend we've ever spent together. There is a warm welcoming feeling across the whole ranch so that everyone feels like an extended family member. The food was amazing, the staff were excellent, the facilities top notch. I couldn't recommend this getaway more highly. Can't wait to go back!

My husband and I reserved a room for 7 days for a chance to really unplug and recharge.
We were greeted with waving hands at the end of the gravel driveway like long-lost family members returning home which set the tone for our visit.
After a glass of champagne and a few introductions to the staff, we were taken to our room to settle in before dinner. The large room was very clean and comfortable with the most serene and breathtaking view of the small ponds on the property and a horse paddock in the background.
The bell for dinner rings in the distance, and we then experienced the first of our many gourmet meals. Before we arrived, someone checked in with us to see if we had any food restrictions or preferences. Any meal can be modified to your needs which was amazing.
The meals are family style, occurring at set times throughout the day, and took place at 2 large tables in the dining room. There you can mingle with other visitors and with the amazing and gracious owners and hosts, Norm and Nan.
We took the yoga class they offered almost each morning, in addition to horseback riding classes, trail rides and massages. We even went target shooting with the very skilled marksman of the property, Daryl.
I can give you every detail of those experiences, but instead, I will give you my lasting impression of my time there:
My time with the beautiful animals on the property was so healing and filled my heart every day. From the border collies to the horses to even the pig, all of them were treated so well and you could see everyone working on the ranch had great affection for all creatures living there. The horses were strong and affectionate, and the dogs would accompany us on our hikes, making sure we returned safely.
We enjoyed our stay immensely and it was a sad day when it was time to leave.
I cannot say enough beautiful things about this place and the people who own and run this unique piece of heaven on Earth.
