Perfect Economy

We were looking for an inexpensive hotel for one night not too far from Boucherville whose Hotel Mortagne is rather expensive. Econolodge room 7 was perfect for us with a refrigerator and microwave and 2 double beds. They've probably renovated recently as we saw no horrors as seen on some photos. Breakfast was fine and we even got a one hour later check out.
We will return.

Our saga begins a few months before our trip...We booked five rooms for a U15 soccer team and then had an additional 8 rooms for parents. two months before our trip, the hotel canceled the rooms we had booked for the team. We scrambled and found another hotel down the road to accommodate them. two days before we were to leave, another of our parent rooms was cancelled!! the parent called the hotel and lost his mind...magically a room appeared and he was fine. I booked the other four room directly through Choice hotels. after a fourteen hour bus trip, we arrive to find out that the hotel cancelled our room with NO notification to us leaving four families with kids stranded in their parking lot. the night supervisor was extremely rude and could not have cared less about us. I spent 2.5 hours in the parking lot on the phone with Choice hotels after arguing with the front desk and getting no where. This was a concert weekend in Montreal so no rooms were available anywhere else. After discussing with Choice hotels customer service, MAGICALLY rooms became available for one of the four nights we had booked. The Choice Hotels CS agent said they would comp the rooms to make up for our ordeal but the front desk supervisor refused to do so. The next morning after leaving a lengthy complaint with the desk staff, I went in to see the manager. MAGICALLY rooms had come available and we were all able to stay. The rooms were filthy and smelled. one of the rooms had mirrors on the ceiling and looked like something from a very cheep adult movie! smoke could be clearly smelled through out the non-smoking rooms. there was an ants nest in the window and burnt out lights everywhere. Stains on the tiles and mildew in the shower. We refused to walk on the floors with out shoes on!! AC was barely functional and all our cloths felt damp. Saturday night there was a steady stream of prostitutes coming and going. I will never stay at this hotel again!! If you are completely stuck in Brossard and have no other options...Sleep in your CAR rather than this place. I am not sure if my words have expressed how upsetting and disgusting this experience was. I hope no one ever experiences what we were put through. If we had another option, we would have left!!
Great option!!!

The hotel is close to a mall and a little plaza, the rooms is clean and comfortable but no elevator. The breakfast is good includes eggs, cereal, fruit, yogurt, bread, bagel and unlimited coffe all day. The staff is nice and friendly specially at the breakfast they are waiting if you need something else while you are eating. I[d like to thank to the lady I dont remember her name only she is from Venezuela, she help me at the breakfast all the time and she was so nice when I need to find places. I highly recommend it and if I go again to Montreal I definitely will stay
Excellent Budget Hotel, Quick Drive From Downtown

I've been a loyal customer of Choice Hotels for over a decade and have never wanted to take a risk on Econo Lodge, since I expected them to be motel quality. This property proved me wrong! Brossard Econo Lodge is an excellent choice for any traveller, and it a fantastic budget option. The rooms are nice and clean, and seem to be newly renovated. The bathrooms are excellent! Spacious, clean, and have a multitude of towels, as well as the expected shampoo, soap, etc. products. The bed was very comfortable, as were the pillows (I am very picky!) and I slept like a baby!
Check in was a breeze. The hotel staff are very nice. We stayed in room 2 in the L-shaped exterior building. The only complaint I would have is that we could hear people walking in the room above us quite a bit. I'd request the second floor next time. Aside from that, all was good.
Breakfast is free and is a standard continental, but also includes an omelet style egg option. They also have fruit, muffins, pastries, etc. as well as all of the typical juice, coffee, and tea choices.
I would highly suggest this hotel and will be back for sure!
Better than most Econo Lodge Motels

Rooms were scare in the general Montreal area during Grand Prix week. The first three hotels we tried were sold out. So, we were happy to snag a room at this hotel, even though we usually avoid Econo Lodges for all the obvious reasons. However, we were pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness and quality of the beds, etc. The front desk staff were somewhat aloof - at an Econo Lodge?!? - and the exterior doors did not lock; but all in all we had a good one-night stay.
