What People are saying
ROOM WAS OK. NOTHING SPECIAL. THE PRICE WAS RIGHT. FRONT DESK VERY COOPERATIVE.
Denise Ton 11/10/2017 01:13Stayed one night. Was in Huntsville for a funeral. They allowed us to check out
1 1/2 hrs later due to the time of the funeral. Room was comfortable for the price.
Slept past the breakfast so I can't comment on that.
For the price this hotel was fine.
comfortable well equipped rooms
forensichenon 07/10/2017 23:13The hotel is not far from Huntsville city center, with easy parking in front. It has spacious, clean, well equipped rooms, with good WIFI. The beds are comfortable and big, and over-all its a good value for money.
However, The walls are very thin, so you can hear conversations from adjacent rooms and from the corridor. in our visit it was very difficult to sleep due to voices heard from adjacent room. Breakfast is less than humble.
Room was OK but everything else fails
Diemelon 04/10/2017 15:33Ar arrival nobody at reception. On the counter you can read an instruction how to reach the receptionist by phone! Nobody answers the phone. After 3 attempts somebody showed up. No welcome, no recognition being a Platinum Choice Hotels member.
No elevator. Stairs with dirty /stained carpet. Next morning the dirt was still on the stairs.
Lots of work to do for the management of this hotel. Not a good example for Econolodge hotels.
Room / beds were OK. Breakfast is a joke. Tiny space for 8 people. Limited choice.
So we decided to go to Westside Fish&Chips 500 m down the road. Nice breakfast in a cozy place full of theapots. We decided to go back in the eve for delicious fish & chips!!
Huntsville Hotel Needs Overhaul
Nigel Hon 02/10/2017 04:19After deciding to take a trip to Algonquin Provincial Park this weekend, we found ourselves booking one of the last rooms in Huntsville. We arrived Saturday evening and found nobody at the front desk, after using the on-desk intercom it took a while to finally get a body at the desk.
We were given our room keys and as we made our way to the room the first thing we noticed was two recycling bins in the hallway to the rooms (see photo).
Upon entering the room, it smelled quite strongly of stale cigarette smoke ( this is supposed to be a non-smoking hotel.
In the bathroom there was a notice to indicate towels would only be changed every 3rd day and it is up to the guest to make alternate arrangements (I get the water conservation issue)!
There was also a notice hidden in a drawer which indicated bed linens would only be changed if the notice was put on the bed.
Anyone expecting clean linens would have been out of luck if this notice was missed.
The breakfast area consisted of 8 seats (the hotel has a number of rooms) and the quality of items was mediocre at best.
At checkout time there was nobody at the front desk and after reaching a voice on the intercom we were told to just leave our keys on the front desk-(no one made any attempt to come to the desk).
I am not a picky person, but for $250 a night this establishment is not up to standard.

nelix_caon 20/09/2017 04:52We reserved a room here to see the colours of the leaves. We pulled up into the parking lot and got out of the car to be greeted by cigarette butts all over the ground. One of the blinds in a window was torn and the out side had a worn look. We asked to see the room and the hallway to the room had garbage in it and the cart pet was stained. The room smelled musty and we refused to stay here. I would not recommend it to danyone now. We had stayed here before and it is really run down from back then.
