What People are saying

Major Attitudes and Con Artist Running Faculity WARNING DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

I booked my stay here through Choice Hotels. Lady up front who wouldn't give me her name (not American) was the rudest person ever. Tried to
add on to the price every way she could. Started at 55.00 and she tried to make 75.00 for this dump facility. She was very unprofessional and these owners need to be arrested for cheating people. I walked out and just am telling whoever reads BEWARE!!! Do NOT STAY HERE !!!!

Needs Major Renovations

We were here of the solar eclipse in August, so we paid the $200 per night because this was the last place available when we booked in January. The facility was run down. The sheets were worn and ripped. The hallways did not have AC so they were hot and humid in August (outside temp. 93 felt like 106).Mirrors were bad. Sink had no stopper. Door kick plates were had peeling finish on all the doors. Toilet paper dispenser was broken so paper roll was put on sink counter. The plusses are few. We did enjoy the big heated swimming pool. There are many electrical outlets for your devices. There is a guest laundry room. The staff is friendly and helpful. The elevator was fast enough but hot.The high prices for such a poorly maintained facility should be examined. We just started using the Choice Hotels and question their inspection of the hotels in their group.

Disgusting

The owners have let this place run down. It was so bad we stayed our first night and mercifully was able to get other accommodations for the other 2 nights. Choice Hotels should strip them of their name and listing. Stay away from this place.

Eclipse Eclipsed by Disappointing Hotel!

Karen Won 25/08/2017 18:29

We booked our room for the night before the eclipse weeks in advance, knowing it would be hard to get a room. We expected to pay more and didn't flinch much when the price was $233. However, when we arrived we were greeted by the most horrendous smell! It was a sicky-sweet perfume smell and it made me nauseous. But I sucked it up
Because we needed a place to stay. We asked for and was given a "supposedly" non-smoking room. But as time went on, i woke up with the beginning of an asthma attack. We got it under control and left at day break. My husband the next night reached for his Pjs and said, "I now know why your asthma started and why that smell was around," there had been significant smoke in the room and hall which was covered up by the perfume smell.
On the good side. The room was clean and the bed relatively comfortable.
The place really needs remodeling and deep cleaning.
My biggest gripe had to do with the smoke cover-up. For me, that was a real health issue. And I'm sure there are others. Honesty would have been appreciated. I would really urge Choice Hotels to drop it's endorsement of this Econo Lodge. I have always trusted using my Choice Hotel privilege to provide a good and safe hotel.

Ok but needs updating

Stayed for eclipse so room passable. Reasonably clean, breakfast ok with standard fare in small room, desk staff friendly, easy highway access with restaurants near by, wifi and tv good and functional.
