The staff is wonderful room are very clean. Kids loved the heated pool and hot tub.
Housekeeper greeted us warmly and asked questions to meet not only our need but a genuine conversation on personal levels. This hotel makes you feel welcome like your there family.

It's an older hotel but rooms are clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Nice area near Main St. Easy access to Royal Gorge. Breakfast was average. Indoor pool needed to be cleaned but otherwise it's a nice place to stay for the night.

Nothing special. Just a clean place to rest. Place seemed a bit dated. Staff was friendly. Room was small. Breakfast was decent. Good location for the Royal Gorge Train. Nice park across the street. No major complaints.

I'm leaving 3 stars because the rooms are renovated to the point where there is laminate wood floor (instead of the nasty rugs you see in chain hotels a lot) and it was clean. But that's it. The pillows are lumpy, comforter paper thin, and the towels are old and barely big enough to wrap around a normal sized adult.
The walls are also thin and you hear everything, which for us included barking dogs (pet friendly hotel which is great until idiots leave their dogs unattended in the rooms to bark incessantly) and the people in the next room on a drug/alcohol bender that kept us up until 4 in the morning when I called the front desk. Then the car alarms started going off and we both decided never again at a hotel like this.
We didn't try the breakfast but it seems like everyone does because the room was packed. The pool looked heavily chlorinated but we didn't use it. My expectations for an Econolodge were low and had we gotten any sleep I may have a better review but it's really just a cheap chain place. That said, there aren't many options in the area and this hotel is across from the train station and a couple blocks from the historic downtown. So if you want to brave it just stay one night and bring ear plugs

This place got good reviews on several different sites but we didn't find it as nice as written. Seems a little run down for the price. They allow dogs for an added $10 fee. Pretty quiet, except for the trains that roll through, and the location is really good if you are too tired to drive after seeing the Royal Gorge. The motel is one block from Main Street with lots of shops and many restaurants to visit. Make sure to walk the parks nearby. They're a nice way to relax before hitting the hay.
