I don't understand how this property gets four and a half Stars and rated number 5 in the city of Kearney on TripAdvisor. My second floor room was dank and musty, so I tried to sleep with the windows open to get some air. With the windows open I was able to hear the drunks in the parking lot at McDonald's till about 1:30 in the morning, shortly thereafter it sounded like there was a party in the hallway outside of my room. Pleasant greeting at check-in but staff conspicuously absent at checkout. Room was clean but everything about this property looks tired.

They have signs up saying Service Dogs must be nationally registered and have a number to stay & doctors orders are not valid or all dogs will be assessed a “service dog fee” No national/federal service dog certification exists and it’s impossible to nationally register a service dog. This hotel and its owners hate dogs and are doing everything they can to deny service dogs and blatantly violating the ADA. Staff was not friendly, acting strange and suspicious watching our every move like we were there to steal them blind. Rooms were musty, worn carpeting, AC not very good, but it had “OK” written on it in sharpie. Room was clean, breakfast was passable, nice watered down, waffles no flavor, watered down.

My wife and I stayed on a visit out West. Spacious room in perfect condition. Looked like it had never been used.
More like an extended stay Hotel with a full sized fridge and kitchen. Nice lobby but breakfast was just a muffin and juice.
Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Our experience at this hotel was excellent from the front desk onwards. MIke was welcoming, helpful, efficient. Our room was spacious, very clean, with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast was standard fare but well presented and the dining area was very clean and tidy. I felt the place was very well run.

I came to Kearney not sure of how long I would stay. I needed a simple hotel, but most importantly one that was clean. I had stayed in another cheaper hotel previously and it was horrible (Western Inn South Kearney). The Rodeway Inn & Suites was clean and exactly what I needed.
Breakfast could be a little fresher... it's nothing to write home about. Luckily there's a Perkins next door and so I just ate there.
Room 105 is sort of by the office and so it can be louder than the other rooms. I also stayed in a room with a King bed. There's a fridge, a small table, and a flat screen TV. The bathroom was nice enough for me.
The cleaning crew was nice and helpful! I had a hard time communicating with them, but after enough hand gestures and conversation they were more than willing to help with what I needed. Whether that was scheduling room service or not, getting new towels, or just having a nice conversation.
My girl also didn't have a problem with it! That's a win in my book for any 2 star hotel! So 4/5 for the 2 star hotel and the only recommendation to the staff is a better breakfast!
