Hit & Miss
Barbara Son 22/10/2017 00:36If I could give this place 2.5 stars, I would. The room was clean but the place looks shabby. The front desk said there are due for some improvements. The TV screen was large but there is only 27 channels to choose from. Housekeeping never made up our room on Friday (we were staying Thurs & Fri night) or left fresh towels. We had a problem with the key card not working. I wish motels would go back to real keys. Breakfast was the usual - bagels, English muffins, cereal, waffles with coffee & juice. Having stayed at other Econo Lodges, I knew this was a no frills place, but some are better than others.
You get what you pay for
lrhaley2016on 03/10/2017 03:18This place was not terrible, but does leave a lot to be desired. The room was clean and comfortable. The television was huge, but that is about the end of the good news. The television package was very poor, very few channels. The wifi was abysmal, absolutely abysmal. They should not advertise that they have wifi, it is something just short of un-useable, and I rely on wifi when I travel. You have to go to the office to get ice and breakfast, and the office is in another building. It was raining when I was there, so I had to walk through the rain for both. Not the end of the world, just one more thing to think about. Breakfast was about what I would expect for an economy hotel, it was just okay. Maid were loudly pounding on neighboring rooms way too early in the morning, calling out "maid service" Bottom line, pay more and stay somewhere else, or have low expectations.
No frills
Lee Mon 12/07/2017 16:55Econo lodges are hit and miss at the best of time. While this one was tired looking, the rooms were decent and the front desk staff was excellent, so if a cheap nights stay is your preference, this is more than adequate for a nights stay. The only down side was the free wifi didn't work in our room.
almost a disaster
chantz bon 22/05/2017 22:24i was here to pick up my son from the main campus of penn about an hour away. state college was booked so this would work. i booked the day prior for seventy two dollars. its about a 6 hour drive for me. i arrived there an hour early for check and decided to walk in. luckily i did because the receptionist said they had to cancel my reservation. they were booked. she said she had a few rooms set aside and gave me one. extremely scary i would be in the van in a strange place for a night. it worked out, but the room had mold in the shower, small holes in the wall there. the room smelled like a can of febreze had just be released. the bed was comfortable enough. i mean, for an econo-lodge it was ok. microwave and fridge/freezer worked well. at check out the manager said she couldnt give me a receipt and would email it. still havent gotten it. complained about it to the main company. they reported i did not even stay there per the manager. in the end they gave me 5,000 points.
