I realize it’s the area and a motel for less than $125 is hard to find but...we were on a 9 day trip down the Pacific Coast Highway and needing accommodations every night is very expensive . We’re not wealthy, just two retirees doing a Bucket List. Econo Lodge was $115 with Expedia discount so I took it. Room was stuffy so I start looking for the AC controls. Called office, “No we don’t have AC but there’s a FAN in the room you can use.” Are they serious????Apparently so... no AC in CA. Wish I’d seen this review BEFORE I booked. Gave 2 stars because the beds were fairly comfortable.

Close to many attractions and relatively quiet both times I have stayed there. Continental breakfast is a nightmare. Space to seat about 5 people. Each time I have gone the folks in the seats get up and rush to the food and scoop most of it up before you get a chance to get in the door even though there is plenty of food at their seats. Amazes me. I managed to get a bagel this time and get out the door before I was mobbed. All in all beds are comfortable and there is a coffee maker in the room that will provide a couple of cups of coffee. It was close to the Whale Watching trip I needed to be at by 8:00 AM and the woman at the registration desk was very nice. Will stay again.

Just outside the n. 1, one mile far from a nice beach of seaside and 3 Miles from Monterey.
The rooms are quite new with wi fi / coffe/ fridge.
Goog breakfast included.
Ok reception service and Prices pretty good.

Although this is not the most glamorous motel I have ever stayed in, it was fine for just one night. There is no a/c but each room is equipped with a large fan which you may need as the rooms are a bit stuffy. The beds are comfortable enough and the showers have decent pressure and water temperature. Given that it is a motel style hotel, I did find it extremely noisy and could hear everything that was going in the parking lot.

Do not believe the website pictures. A real dive and very expensive. Gouged us for $400 ($45 tax included) for one weeknight stay during car week in monterey. The facility didn't look clean. Located between two busy and noisy thoroughfares. The town was booked up and there were few to no rooms available. There were even two Ferraris parked there. Suspected the spouses would not have been pleased. Moved to another nearby dive for half the price, but at least it was cheaper. This second motel did not have a website presence and was not found in initial search, So there are rooms available but they may not be on Expedia, Kayak , etc. Also dives but feel less cheated.
