Has to rank up there with the top ten worst I ever stayed in. Recently redone with paint spray covering light bulbs and can light. Room and comforter smelled like stale tobacco. One Kleenex in dispenser. Couldn't sleep with traffic noise and doors banging all night. Room was hot with AC of no help. Breakfast biscuits were rock hard and sausage burned.
Such a shame ...

Only reason for 3 stars is the wonderful front desk girls, very friendly! I normally don't like to be negative but this hotel was not a joy to stay in. The beds were unbelievably noisy and uncomfortable and the room smelled. Don't plan on staying more than 1 night! But if you do, the Mexican restaurant out front has great food and friendly service!
Don't bother - They don't even try.

Where do I begin? This property is just getting by with less than minimum (I don't think they can afford to run this place). One good thing: Checkin was fine by a kind and informative woman.
Bathroom: 3 lights missing from the fixture which had mismatched bulbs. No stopper in sink drain. No Kleenex. Guess they can't afford to put any in rooms.
Bed: nasty looking sheets that are over worn. Squeaky bed. Nasty thin pillows. Just don't bother: tell us to bring our own if you can't afford new or fresh ones.
Breakfast: ugh- even the coffee isn't in the breakfast room (well it's a room with maybe 8 chairs) - you have to go in the Lobby to get coffee.
Lastly- I guess we came on smokers discount day where they stand in front of door smoking. Some guests look like this may be "mandatory counselor escort" to court day.
Reasonable and easy to find

The Econolodge in Buckley is a central hub if you want to explore around Buckley, Enumclaw, Carbonado and Wilkeson.
Located right on highway #410 makes it easily accessible from both Eastern and western Washington.
The rooms are comfortable with most amenities you will find in a motel of this size.
The rate for our group was $99/ night/ standard king or 2 queen beds which included a very basic breakfast. Not sure what the standard room rate is.
For our group touring the area, this was the best choice.
Good restaurants are close. We ate at the Krain and also Kelly's in Enumclaw which furnishes super big breakfast portions.
The Pub in Carbonado also serves great burgers if you are in that area
They have a pool which makes it excellent for cooling off on a hot day.
The worst hotel experience I've had.

I don't give this review lightly as I understand how damaging a poor review can be.
Usually, after a bad experience, I prefer to simply give no review at all. This time though, I feel compelled.
We stayed here because we were going to a concert at White River Amphitheater for a concert. Upon check in, we went to our room to find that the nearby rooms were having flooring installed. As we walked to our room, one of the workers yelled at us and asked how late we were going to be up because they were going to be really loud until 11. We told him we would be out until around midnight. He said, that's good, cause you wouldn't be sleeping if you were here.
Once we got into our not-so-clean room, we had a drink and watched a bit of TV as we got ready to go for dinner and the show. As I sat on the bed, I must have sunk down over 8 inches with a loud whiny creak of the bed. As we got ready, the workers outside began to yell at each other, and threaten each other. Lot's of swearing and slurring of words. I could see why we wouldn't have been sleeping if we were to have stayed there rather than going out for the night.
We left for dinner at a great Mexican place nearby, and then drove to the concert, as the taxi company recommended by the hotel had taken my reservation, but didn't show up because it turns out we were outside their pick up zone.
Later when we returned, the workers were gone. We went to bed. A very restless sleep, as the mattresses and pillows were terrible, and the bed creaked loudly with any subtle move.
The next morning, we got up to have our included breakfast. As were were packing, my brother couldn't find his wallet. He eventually found it, but while we looked around for it, we discovered just how filthy the room was. Under the beds, were what looked like months of dust and debris. Earplugs, wrappers, hair, and who knows what else. Disgusting. We decided to skip breakfast and checked out.
