Bugs and Broken room

aoatmanon 09/09/2017 18:10

The reservation I made was not honored in full when I got there. I was told I would be moved to a room type that I had reserved the following night. The first room had a roach in the refrigerator. When I returned the following night to get the correct room, I was told it was unavailable. The room I was put in this time had a broken bed, the bathroom light was sporadic, the TV sound was going out and there were more roaches. The staff was told on numerous occasions that there were issues. It did not seem to concern them at all. I would not recommend staying in this hotel.

More credit card fraud

I stayed here back in football season and just today received a charge for $156....called and reported the unauthorized card but obviously this hotel is shady....Do not stay here!
The hotel is very dated and the service is flat out rude. I tried to call to talk to manager about the charge and got put on permanent hold...Again Avoid at all costs!

Comfortable beds

We stayed for three night here. Their beds were comfortable. Rooms were affordable and clean. They also had free breakfast which was a plus. I visit Bryan/College station area at least once a month. I will be be staying here because of their location and affordable clean rooms.

Honestly the worst place I ever got to stay in.

The most unprofessional hotel we ever had to deal with. My husband booked 2 nights for us at Econo Lodge, since we were in College Station for a short amount of time and were trying to find something cheap. First, a man who could barely speak English (assuming it's the owner/manager) took the longest time checking us in, and the hotel's website info did not tell us there would be a charge for bringing a pet. We agreed to pay 20 dollars for each night for our dog to stay (or there would be a 200 dollar charge if we didn't let them know of bringing a pet). My husband and I checked out the very next day (considering the fact we still had another night booked in the hotel) simply because we got the worst sleep ever. The bed was hard, the sheets were too thin, and the heater was way too loud. We got back to Dallas the same night, and the next morning we get a call from the foreign manager speaking with an aggressive tone on the phone, shouting words out, about us leaving the dog in the room, us still being in the hotel room, and such. He might have even asked my husband if "his girlfriend" is still there haha. Either way, we had a laugh. So, the best part gets right here. Our credit card GOT CHARGED and is STILL GETTING CHARGED TODAY random amounts of money. We probably got over charged 200 dollars by today. My husband is keep calling up the hotel. The same, unprofessional receptionist picks up the phone, and tells us the manager will call us back (ever since yesterday). She did not even want to listen to our problem, take our phone number - she just said he'll fix it. We called back 2 hours later, asking we we could speak to the manager in the very moment since we needed to fix the problem. She paused for a second, and we heard the foreign voice in the background (who probably happened to be the manager), after that she told us that the manager just left. Called the Econo Lodge this morning, asking for a manager. The receptionist told us that HE IS OUT OF TOWN. He still hasn't called us back. We're taking this situation further. We already phoned our credit card provider, so our situation should get taken care of (thankfully). I just want to warn everybody and tell you, even though Econolodge may seem like a good deal - DON'T BOOK A ROOM. The comfort is terrible, and it is not worth dealing with all the problems. Once again, THE WORST HOTEL EVER.

Pretty bad

The only good thing to say about this stay is the room was cheap. The lady at front desk was did not have a very professional appearance. Bed sheet had a cigarette burn in it and it was a non smoking room. Towels where size of face towel. It had a safe in the room but it didn't work. Wouldn't stay here again.
