We had only one night in Louisville so location was important so a downtown hotel was best for us. Since we are Choice Hotels Privilege members we always try to book at their properties. And the only hotel available that was a Choice property located downtown and within our budget was this Econo Lodge. Now being very familiar with Choice Hotels we've come to realize that in most cases Econo Lodge is on the lower end of accommodations,of course they are usually less expensive too.
So that being said in this case our experience was just average. Our room was clean but seemed a bit dated,staff was friendly and the provided breakfast was nothing special. Location was perfect though right in downtown,just a short walk from the famous Brown Hotel and 4th street which is the entertainment hot spot,there you'll find many restaurants,bars and clubs. So if your on a budget I would suggest you check them out,this property might be what you need. As for me I'd check some other options before returning to this particular Econo Lodge.

In town for concert and sightseeing. Stayed 3 nights. Couldn't ask for a better deal considering the hotels around. Walking distance to everything downtown. Clean rooms. Very comfy bed. Love that there is a microwave, fridge and blow-dryer. All of the staff were exceptional. Helpful with directions and restaurant choices.

Can't say enough positive things about this motel. Reception and housekeeping staff were wonderful. Clean rooms, location is fabulous. I would recommend this motel to anyone. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here for one night as we were passing through. Room felt quite basic but was clean. Didn't really like the area it was in as we couldn't find much around us so ended up at fourth street live, which was fun but felt extremely touristy and overpriced. If going again I would try to find a nice area where it has more to offer with locals.

My son and I stayed here while making a visit to the Louisville Slugger Museum, which is within walking distance. The accommodations are fine, just basic. We felt safe. The rooms was very clean and beds were comfortable. Parking right outside the room which was great. The front desk staff was the only negative. The young lady was not friendly at all nor helpful.
