My overall experience at this hotel was quite enjoyable, considering that I was looking for a simple, but well-located stay. The breakfast was sufficient and fresh. My room was overall comfortable and clean. Finally, the front desk staff was incredibly kind and helpful, which made my stay in Ottawa even better. Definitely worth the money!

The installations are old and the hotel is not very clean and in some places the smell is bad, close to the ice machine.. These are the negative points. However price is low, it is well located, has a parking lot and breakfast is very practical. A better cleaning would improve a lot the hotel.

this hotel is not bad for just passing by and wants to visit Ottawa, it is right in downtown, walking distance to the parliament (20 min) on nice weather, free parking at this hotel and also basic breakfast with waffle maker which is nice for the kids.
otherwise room are very basic, good for 1 or 2 nights .
i am sure in summer with all events in Ottawa it can be an good option.
it is 12 min away from the Aviation Museum.

Paid only 84$ per night in a double queen room. We also needed a cot, which is not available to reserve ahead of arrival & there are only 2 cots available for the entire motel. Breakfast was okay, with standard continental items ie waffles, muffins, cereal, yogurt etc. The room I stayed in had a fridge and microwave which we're relatively clean & in working order. The beds were really uncomfortable; I had springs in my back the whole time. But the sheets & pillows looked clean. Bathroom could use some help, tried opening the window and there were 101 cobwebs & spiders between the glass & screen. In addition to the mouldy grout in the shower and gross floor. You get what you pay for, good location, free breakfast & affordable, free parking.
One big mistake

I wish I could say that it was worth it for the price and the location. It wasn't. The only positives I could say for this motel were that it is on the main bus route and Rideau Street leads to all the major tourist sites. However, if I could have cancelled, I would have after the first night.
The motel is located about a half an hour brisk away from the Byward Market and Parliament Hill. There are few restaurants other than the excellent Shwarma Palace across the street, near by to eat so you must head down to the Byward Market. The area itself felt unsafe with pawn shops, loan lenders, and businesses with burglar bars on the windows. The motel's reception area is deceptively modern looking. The rest of the motel itself tired and dirty looking. The breakfasts consist of stale cereal, stodgy muffins, fruit drinks and coffee. The room was clean but smelt of food odours. The lights were dim and with the hallway window curtains drawn, the room felt dark and gloomy. There seemed to be families living in the motel and the children ran up and down the hall nightly. If I could do it again, I would book into something about 3 blocks closer to the downtown core.
