Just OK - cheap place to spend a night

Driving to Florida, I found myself needing to crash for the night at 2:00am.
I found one of those traveler coupon books and picked this place for the name (chains are traditionally better than independent hotels) and of course the price ($54.99).
All I wanted was a cheap bed for the night, and that is exactly what I got.
The lady at the counter was very friendly, and attentive. I especially liked the fact that after checking in, she called to make sure that we had gotten into the room with no problem.
This hotel has apparently seen better days. It needs some serious TLC.
A roach crawled across the stairs when we first walked in to the main building. The fridge wouldn't close. The shower had stains. The bedsheet had a burn mark on it and my towel had a big hair embedded in it. And funny enough, my son got stuck inside the bathroom - I had to tackle the door to open it.
Testament to its lost grandeur; the outside pool has been filled-in with sand!
However, for less than $60 on the I-95 corridor, I got a comfortable bed and a hot shower. I'm not complaining TOO much.
Roach motel Stay away.

I checked in the man was very nice. As soon as i walked into the room and turned on the bathroom light a big momma roach and her baby were there to greet me. I quickly killed them. I decided to stay in the room. Then the air conditioner quit. I packed up and went to the desk to explain what happened. I changed rooms. This room had no remote for the tv. The phone didn't work so i had to walk to the front desk again. He ended up switching the tv's. The next morning I went to the bath room to find another small roach. When i checked out the next morning on 8/25/2016 the lady asked if everything was alright. I said you have a serios roach problem. She didn't say another word except thank you when she handed me the receipt. I must not have told her anything she didn't already know.
DO NOT STAY HERE...

The front desk person was personable and friendly, then it goes downhill from there. The room was miserably hot. The ac was not on in the room when we arrived. We turned it on and it barely worked. It wasn't until the wee hours of the morning that the room was FINALLY chilled! The place is OBVIOUSLY renting to boarders. They were hanging out in the hallways and outside...it was very wierd. The place was straight up dirty and dank. The bathroom faucet ran hot water all night long and judging from the stain on the tub, it was not a new issue. Just skip it...it's really, super gross...and I'm not super picky!

Our Softball team (age 13-14) had reserved this hotel the from July 1-6. It was a last minute reservation since out team made it to State playoffs. The team wanted to stay together at a reasonable price. This was the worst Hotel I had ever been in. there were people shooting up dugs in the stairwell, people ask us for drugs and money. 4am 3 guys cussing and yelling in the halls. They had bugs, air condition was horrible. WE CHECK OUT OF THE HOTEL AND HAD TO FIND ANOTHER HOTEL
