Last time i Stay here It was very pleasant stay. but this time it is outstanding because, they have totally upgraded the rooms and new painting and upgraded breakfast. Very good location right on interstate. easy going and good employees.

Room was totally upgraded, New bedding style, All new Rooms. Totally upgraded from last time. i have stayed, Employees are nice. Breakfast also good and you will have lots of choice to selected restaurant. I will stay here again in future.

I am leaving from room 230 and highly irrirated. When we arrived to what we expected to be a non smoking room, we noticed a terrible smell, because it was a smoking room. The sheets and blankets have rough cigarette holes all over them, and they arent subtle, the carpet was sticky, when my husband got into the bed he complained of itching and upon further inspection the room had fleas and a few small seed ticks from where someone brought a pet in. We were horrified and alerted front desk, who wouldn't pick up the phone our ENTIRE STAY unless we dialed from our cell. When my husband went down there we were told they would call us with another room. Never happened. So we let that go and then when we went to take a shower guess what? Only one towel, so he calls to no avail and goes down there , the lady said the hotel was out and that someone from another hotel was driving over with some. Never happened. We asked for the hotel manager 4 times and was told every time she wasnt there. This all could have been forgiven if I had not got up in the middle of the night and stepped on a big fat cockroach. I actually made a point to save it considering we were lied to and told the hotel manager would be in today but that wasn't the case apparently. So we spent our hard earned money on this dump and don't get to shower, get bit by fleas, have to worry about what else we aren't seeing that must be filthy, and to put the cherry on top whomever was answering the phone this morning was extremely RUDE, and had the nerve to tell him after explaining the situation that we should have came down sooner ?!*!? How about do your job you rude old bag. I paid for a clean room with basic ammenitys and that is NOT whaaat we got. CANCEL YOUR RESERVATIONS HERE IF YOU WANT A NICE TRIP. TERRIBLE ROOM, TERRIBLE ATTITUDES.

Tired and ready to get off the highway. We had a truck and trailer and the Econo Lodge looked like it was easy access and parking with what we were hauling. I wasn't concerned about the cost of the hotel but was pleased to find it was only $65 for the night. The front desk clerk was wonderful! He was very polite and efficient.
The room was horrific! Hmmmm....let me provide a list:
- It smelled of stale cigarette smoke and sweat. (we had a non smoking room by the way)
- The picture above one of the beds was missing and only nails and hangers were showing
- The TV was from the 80's (but it did work)
- The sheets were paper thin and heavily stained by some unknown substance
- The tub drain was in pieces and laying on the side of the tub
- The bathroom had mold in the corners
- The wallpaper was very discolored (probably from those non smokers)
It would have been easier to list what was good! Oh, I did that - the front desk clerk! This is not a recommended stay if you want something clean and fresh!

This motel is located about 9 miles from downtown Knoxville. The only thing nearby is Waffle House (next door), a few fast food chains and a host of gas stations with repair shops catering to truck drivers (no Walmart, Target or CVS remotely close.) The room left some things to be desired, shower curtain had a rip, wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling, very dirty box springs were covered with bed skirts. The motel had many rooms available but they chose to put us at toward the back of the motel where there are permanent residents with shoes and a bbq lining the walkway. After taking a drive to see downtown, we returned about 11pm on a Wednesday night to the strong smell of marijuana. I personally don't appreciate the interior of my car or my belongings absorbing the smell. The pool formerly referred to as a swamp by another reviewer was cloudy but functional on 7/19/2017. We did not have the complimentary breakfast as there were no fruit or egg options. Cereal, biscuits and gravy, a few bagels and I think a waffle iron was available. When we exited from the lobby to walk to the Waffle House, we were greeted by a waft of cigarette smoke by a housekeeper who considerately decided to smoke within 3 feet of the entrance. The only decent items during our stay was the wifi and a very pleasant counter clerk who I believe was named Matt.
