Spent one night here and don't plan on coming back. Got in late and went to meeting and then back for a shower. Change of clothes, off to dinner. Back to bed! Next morning as I checked out I checked draws as usual, and found used towels, old socks, and a used razor in the draws. Not sure if the articles in the draws was the smell in the room or the paper mill in town! Wasn't happy with myself for being in a hurry or the motel for lax cleaning practices.

I loved the fact I could walk downtown in around two minutes. Tons of neat little shops and restaurants. At first I couldn't hook up to the internet but the front desk manager (I think the owner) very quickly helped out and even called me in my room to ensure it was working. Great service, nice room with a fridge and microwave. Super location.

Upon entering our room there was a musty smell. Turning on our AC the vent was broken and replaced with a vent from a home AC, which was screwd in at side. The TV had no remote and when we obtained one the recepcion wasn't working. Bathroom had rust in basin sink. The bathroom was ALWAYS HOT for some unknown reason and the tub was like from back in the 60s. Hotel needs to be knocked down.

We arrived December 11, 2016. We had stayed here once before in May 2016 over Memorial Day and it was not too bad. This time however, our experience was terrible. We walked into the room and there was a gold comforter on the bed. You could tell the comforter was dirty. There were some dark stains on the comforter, they looked like dried blood. We did not use the comforter that night.
The next morning, we got up and showered and my husband went to the front desk to get us some coffee and a roll and visited with the manager. My husband told the manager that we were going to try and get on the road early so that we could get home before dark. We checked out on time and I left the room almost as nice as it was when we arrived.
We were just getting ready to leave town when we got a phone call from the hotel. The girl on the other end of the phone said she was from the hotel's corporate offices and that they were charging our credit card because my husband and I had peed and pooped all over the comforter. They claimed the pee and poop had soaked into the sheets, mattress cover and mattress. We told them that we did no such thing and we would be right over to speak with the front office people about this.
We got there, they showed us the comforter. It was the same comforter. I recognized the stains from when we checked in. On top of the original stains was poop. It looked like someone had taken a butter knife and spread feces on the comforter. Rest assured, we never pooped on the comforter.
To us, it appeared that this person was trying to scam money out of us. They had already charged our credit card without our permission for $100.00. My husband asked them if they would remove the $100.00 charge if we paid $50.00 cash and took the stained comforter. The staff all agreed.
The strange thing is that I almost took a picture of the room and comforter before we checked out but I was in a hurry and didn't. If I had, I would have had proof that neither my husband or I ever peed or pooped on the bed. It is a shame that the world has come to this that I now feel as though I need to take a picture of every hotel room before I leave so I don't get accused of such an embarrassing act.
The room cost $35.00 - $40.00/night
The room could use some updating.
The carpet and the drapes were mildly dirty.
The heater/air conditioner was missing several louvers.
The bathroom was clean.
The comforter on the bed looked and smelled dirty.
The towels and toiletries were thin and small
It did have a fridge, microwave, tv, hair dryer.
The front office provides complimentary coffee and muffins.
This hotel is okay for 1 to 2 nights. Beware of false accusations from the staff.

Could use updating.
Our room was clean, comfortable bed, and convenient for our road trip.
Parking was available but due to the one way streets made it a little difficult to get in and out of. Pleasant check in. Made a good recommendation for dinner at the Main Street Grill-yum.
