We were in town for a football game, and this was a perfect place to stay. Excellent breakfast for what you pay for (free breakfast can you complain?!) and the staff was very friendly. For the price everything was exactly what we needed.

I stayed in this Econo Lodge for a gaming convention in Madison at the Alliant Center. This location was close enough that the price made it worth it! It was cheap, the room was clean (no bugs!) and with the chilly nights, it was nice and toasty!
At the price, I got what I paid for. The bathroom was clean, but worn and tired. Same with the furnishings. The bed was clean, comfortable enough for me. The only issue I had with the room was that the box for the TV channels and the TV wasn't cooperating, but I didn't care, I was there to sleep!
Breakfast was a typical, cheap continental. I didn't try the eggs, I just don't do that at continentals. The waffle maker worked - wasn't the worst, wasn't the best.
I gave this an "excellent" rating because for the price, I could not have asked for any more.

We stayed for one night. It was a Friday night, and they had available rooms. The people at the front desk were accommodating and friendly. The breakfast was good and the hotel location is right off the freeway and across from East town Mall. We would stay there again. It was quiet as well.

The experience was good from start to finish. The check in process was smooth and friendly. The room was very clean, with a new bed and TV. There are tons of commercial food and shopping options in the area, and it’s a short drive or Uber ride ($8-$10) away from downtown. This hotel was a great value and I would definitely consider it as a top option in the future.

This is a no-frills choice that is convenient to the 151 interchange. There is no pool, no hot tub and no elevator. It could use some TLC in the maintenance area and really, it's ready for a major renovation. Everything seems fairly worn. We give it an "average" rating because it offers very low rates in a place where that can be hard to come by and we believe that the hotel should be evaluated in that context -- that you're getting what you pay for and it's not all that much. If you're just looking for a good night's sleep before you continue on your way, the Econo Lodge Madison is a legitimate choice, when cost is the major or sole consideration.
