Bad Experience
LeoV_12on 17/10/2017 21:02The only reason why we booked a room here was its pet policy. I specifically reserved a non-smoking room because my wife gets migraines from second hand smoke. I also asked for a room on the ground floor because we have 2 dogs. I got neither. The room was on this so called second floor where I was unable to stand up straight in about half the room (I'm only 6 feet tall). Then, the clerk who checked us in and the one who checked me out the next day swore to me the rooms up there were all non-smoking. The minute we opened the door to the room the faint odor of cigarette smoke hit us. I asked to be moved to another room-no can do, hotel was full. But they swore up and down the cleaning staff made no mention of the odor of cigarette smoke in the room like it was m imagination. I told the clerk I suppose the 6 perfect cigarette burn holes i counted in the quilt on the bed was my imagination too! Bottom line-find someplace else unless you're desperate.
Awful hotel with really nice staff
SweetestToothon 04/07/2017 17:42Only hotel near Sussex County Fairgrounds. Staff was terrific, very cheerful, friendly and helpful. However the room was awful; the smell was horrid. Luckily, I happened to have sheets in the trunk of my car, that were destined for goodwill. I went out to get them, and slept in them. I had to use chip bag clip to hold window curtains closed. Bathroom vanity was detaching from wall. Bathroom plumbing fixtures were yuck.

Mike Bon 18/04/2017 04:01We stayed here at the Econo lodge in Newton NJ while visiting our son who plays soccer and goes to college at Sussex County. We can't speak more highly of everything about our stay here the room was fantastic great attention to every detail, breakfast wonderful, staff were very friendly and extremely helpful and made our stay here perfect. I would highly recommend this hotel
Decent place to stay
Vicky Son 26/12/2016 17:47Low rates, clean room, comfy bed, friendly service and pet friendly. Surprisingly quiet for being off a highway. Good place to stay. Hotel offers free breakfast to the guests. Waffles, muffins, danish.

marcp670on 21/10/2016 02:05The people who helped me at the front desk were polite and the room was very clean. There isn't much to do in that area but the hotel was in a good location. It was right next to an Italian restaurant and there were other food places, gas stations, and bars nearby.
