If outside are 3-7 celsius, you will freeze, even
with their small electric radiator
In bath very cold
So, check local temperature first, then book!
The thermal bath is so and so, more than 7 people do not fit in
Hidden spot at Colca Canyon

The Hotel is located by the river like 5 Km outside Chivay. The location is really nice and different. A bit outside the world. The rooms are in small houses looking at the river with basic rural look but comfortable. It is a much better spot to be than Chivay. They have a small pool with termal waters and you can walk along the river depending on the fow of the river.
The breakfast and the dinner were basic but nice, specially the soups. We would have liked to spend more time there.
Lovely relaxed hotel

Beautiful setting deep in the canyon- you cannot see the hotel from the road. Hotel clean and staff friendly. The little extras were very welcome- hot water bottles and chocolates at night. Food was very good quality and everybody in our group of 7 enjoyed it. The only negative was that the hot spring was not actually that hot and the other two pools were too cold, but this didn't affect our stay too much. Would go back.
Great setting in a deep Valley

A stunning setting in a deep valley next to a small river. I agree with Sohail M in the last review. This hotel is fine and fits the purpose as a stop over before visiting the Colca Canyon. The hot water bottles at night were especially welcome and a great surprise. The hotel service was good and the food was appetising esp the 6am breakfast. The natural hot pool was a big surprise but we did not have the time to take advantage of this facility.
Only two minor negative points 1) the walk down from the car park is a bit steep for those who are not as mobile (porters are available to carry bags up and down the many steps however) and 2) Wifi reception was almost non existent due to the valley setting (this is unfair maybe as you do not visit the hotel just for the wifi but is relevant to those who think this is an essential!).
Lovely setting, comfortable and quite rooms!

We were here for one night only. Amazing bottom of canyon setting, very calm and relaxing. Nature in abundance. Rooms were comfortable, portable heater and hot water bottles provided at night when it gets cold. No TV, safe, fridge in our room. Reminded me of vacationing as a kid in the mountains of the Himalayas. Hot spring/pool on the property was appreciated. Star studded sky at night, hotel can arrange transportation for those interested in some star gazing away from the lights of the property. We did not go as we were too tired. Dinner was reasonable though choices were limited and breakfast the next day was similar. We were not here for nor were we expecting a lot of choice or a gourmet meal. Overall, glad we were in the wilderness for a change. We would recommend this hotel for a budget friendly, comfortable but basic stay in a natural canyon and river setting.
