I was super impressive with the sophisticated design construction, colorful lobby and dreamy garden at the first sight. Warm welcoming with a traditional scarf as a royal style and special local cocktail satisfied me there.
Beautiful view room which u can see the stadium and the mountain covering your place. Very good services and well maintained in whole trip.
I absolutely enjoyed my time with a hot cup of Tea and biscuits the in evening and watch the sunset, played with a couple of Alaska which love to be fed with biscuits:)
Amazing Local food was served everyday..
All these stuff made me a trip which I never can forget in my life !

Its long pending review from my side. through i stay in this hotel few year back but i can clearly remember the experience we had here. hotel welcomes with lot of warmth ,i still remember welcome drink n silk present.very courteous and helpful staff. lovely ppl with beautiful smile. Food was very nice. my wife was not feeling well due to travelling, it was like home away from home.Chef looked after our requirement.Bathtub was classic English copper bath tub style in a good way :) room interior were nice and cozy. I will definitely visit again !!

We had an excellent large and spacious 1 bedroom apartment to us with adjacent living and dining room. Everything was grand. We loved the decor in the reception area and the dinner was buffet with local food theme. But the chef was suggesting many items outside of buffet as well that he can prepare for us as we had a young family. It was a very pleasant stay. Staff was very courteous.

I had three days with my family as a part of my trip to Sikkim. This is one of the best properties in Gangtok. The location is in the heart of city next to a school and most of the tourists attractions are closer from the hotel. The view from our room was a school ground with a mountain in the backdrop. None of the hotel rooms have a view of Kanchenjunga. I doubt if any of the hotels in Gangtok offer the view considering the distance and weather.
The hotel staff is friendly and gives a royal to your entire stay. However preferencial treatment to a few guests was also experienced.
The rooms are spacious and comfortable. However the bathtub and showers are not fitted in a professional way. The bricks and wooden block used to support the bathtub gives a strange feeling while you experience the royal touch to most of the things.

Well-maintained, lovely heritage hotel. Very close to MG road (5-10mins). unfortuately, there is a large soccer stadium right in front of the hotel, which does’nt do much for a quiet atmosphere.
Staff was very attentive and friendly. We had a beautiful room with a large bathroom, both clean and in a good condition, furnitured with nice antiques. Bed was a bit hard tough.
Food was served buffet-style and tasted delicous, but you should like indian food because there are no western options. We definitively enjoyed the afternoon tea in the garden with wonderful darjeeling tea and some cookies.
Overall a relaxing stay, and to us it seemed to be the best option in Gangtok and the best of all the Elgin Hotels.
