Friendly warm atmosphere and ticks all the boxes. Comfortable rooms with en-suite. Lovely breakfast. Whitby is charming and a good base for a short break. Would definitely visit again and use Ellie's.
Warm welcome.

Another wonderful break at Ellie's. A warm welcome on arrival, parking sorted and then a catch up chat. Room, as usual was spotless and tastefully decorated.
Breakfast was lovely with a wide range of options- food did not disappoint at all. Val's scones, once again provided an added bonus.
Ellie's is like an extended and family and, like many others, we will be back.

Stayed here over this years regatta, val and Pete are extremely welcoming and kind. The accommodation is as good as it gets and my wife and I left feeling very happy to find such a delightful gem. The breakfast is cooked to perfection and extremely tasty, especially the omelettes.
If we where to pick a fault we would have to make one up, it is that good overall.
Cannot recommend enough.
All those wonderful TripAdvisor reviews were not wrong

Thanks TripAdvisor, the many excellent reviews about Ellie's Guest House led us to their door. What a great place it was. A superb location provided a boutique B&B with proprietors who have worked so hard to develop a great B&B experience. Friendly owners who provide an excellent experience for their guests. Room 5 was warm and comfortable with good en suite facilities plus tea, coffee, biscuits and chocolates. The breakfast sets you up for the day. Good recommendations of places to eat. All in all you could search Whitby but I doubt you'd find anything better.
Their own website is a mine of info and I'd recommend phoning to make your booking to ensure that you are married up with the best room and rate to suit your need.
Thanks Val and Pete.
Lovely little b&b

I booked this b&b for a long weekend to celebrate my partner and I two year anniversary as he has never been to Whitby before. Val & Pete were very welcoming. Our room (7- top floor) had a lovely purple decor, which was extremely clean, nothing to fault. Our room had an ensuite, however the only thing I will point out is the shower could do with having a ledge to put bottles of shampoo/ shower gel etc on as it was inconvenient having to bend down all the time in such a small area.
We were supplied with coffee, tea and Aero hot chocolate and our own kettle, with complimentary biscuits each morning with a little chocolate.
They even provided a shoe tray and slate to put hot appliances on which was an added bonus!
The breakfast was delicious. Being vegetarian it's a bit daunting to imagine what you're going to get however I was given Linda McCartneys sausages (which I absolutely love). You can help yourself to cereals and fruit, & I won't forget to mention the freshly baked scones each morning- they were gorgeous.
Whilst walking up the steps you are greeted by bits and bobs of crafts that you can purchase from the b&b, including a book shelf full of books to purchase for as little as 50p.
The b&b is in a perfect location so you can start at the main part of Whitby, on the West Cliff, and walk down in to the centre, only a 5-10 minute walk depending how long you're admiring the sea for!
I'd highly recommend staying here, Val & Pete are friendly enough and the b&b is very warning and quiet.
